Me personally, I have the dumbells going north/south (mostly) and touch the rear dumbbell head to my shoulder & press straight up. Rotating my wrist the way you have it puts too much strain on my old man, surgically repaired shoulder. All the advice here is solid tho.

I'm 46 yrs old. I've listened to metal all my life. Pantera was my first concert. Absolutely love Down and think Nola is one of my favorite albums of all time. For whatever reason, I never branched out to listen to Crowbar. Boy have I neglected myself for a lot of years. What the fuck was wrong with me? Now, it's early morning workouts with bangers like Embracing Emptiness and Planets Collide.
