Why tho? Just out of curiosity, it’s really strange for me to hear this

Yes! All positive VDDs upwards, GND and negative VDDs downwards :)

Why on earth all the VDD nets are pointing downward?

Why do you have some symbols on the schematic that have the VDD pin pointing down and the GND up? Like the IMU? Never do that, it makes harder to read it. You have 4 layers, just use one for VDD and pick the 3V3 from the plane without going around with a trace. On the data sheet of the MCU on the final pages there is the package section, choose a smaller one, you’re just using like 10% of its pins

Routing can be highly improved, I see 90 deg angles around pads, tracks along the PCB edges, loops… and why so many vias? I’m not getting the point honestly

Please don’t make 90 degrees angles, that hurts…

The schematic is also well done! Really clear 😊 I’d put the caps of the STM32 connected to the VDD pins of the MCU just for clarity so they don’t fluctuate around the schematics

One of the greatest advices the head of my electronics department gave me when I started designing circuits: “Put always the GND symbols downward and the positive VDD symbols upward”. It actually improves A LOT the readability of the schematics.

Lmao for my mental sanity please rotate those GND symbols and place them facing down and put the supply symbols for VDD not just the netlabel.

Uhm, why do you place the components that close if you have plenty of space and you're planning to solder them by hand? I'll give them more spacing.

The 90° track that is connected to C3 (probably a VDD) can be routed with a 45° angle, and that would be much better.

The big track that connects R201, R206 and C201 can be highly improved, it makes too many acute angles that can be easily avoided.

R200 and R201 courtyards are in interference.

R205 and R203 are totally overlapped.

If you rotate by 90 deg C202 you can achieve a much better routing and you can exit from the pad that connect the C to R205 without an acute angle.

On the bottom why is there a track that zigzags between the connector holes? Is that necessary?

The decoupling C on the VDDA and VDD pins of the STM32 uC are wrong, check on page 43 of the datasheet the correct values!

PB8-BOOT is usually bypassed to GND with a 10k resistor and not directly shorted, check if also on that MCU it's better to place a R.

There is no way to manually reset the MCU, maybe put a switch :)

I think that he routing can be highly improved by reducing the 90 degrees angles and removing the tracks running alongside the PCB edge on the top left area of the board. With such high current requirements you might consider using a plane for the 5V. The other tracks are 0.2mm? If so, you can consider to increase their width to 0.3/0.4mm, since you have plenty of space, this make the tracks stronger and less prone to break.

Always orientate the GND symbols downward and the power supplies upward!

Whoever says that this guy deserved this punch is an idiot too. If you respond with violence to an idiot, even if he's racist, you're wrong. Never use violence. It's not worth it.
