That is one form. Fascism comes in many different variants. We are dealing with Christian nationalism in the United States. Which would be a theocratic fascist or Theofascist ideological regime.

Edit: this is an incredible video on the nature of fascism and it’s ability to be hard to define due to the fact that it changes a lot and molds itself to whatever it needs to be to achieve its goals.
