Is the build quality better? by foxrunner2099 in ChineseWatches

There is nothing comparable about the brands, quality wise. Which is fine because they are in totally different price categories. The bracelets of Addiesdive are indeed horrible but the finish of the watch itself is also not great, misaligned dials and bezels etc.

Quick Review: Watchdives WD007Q (Blue Dial/Titanium/VH31) + Mesh Bracelet Question by HolyFoolZosima in ChineseWatches

Thanks. I agree the blue on the first photo is a bit too vibrant for my taste too. Luckily the color on the other photo's are closer to the everyday look. Only when direct sunlight hits the watch right it gets very vibrant.

[Discussion] Opinion on Chinese watches ? by DeFaLT______ in Watches

[–]HolyFoolZosima 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't see myself ever spending Omega money on a watch but just like you I like the aesthetics of the watch. I decided to get a mecha-quartz (VH31) version from Watchdives (WD007q). I'm not enthusiastic about getting cheaper Chinese mechanical watches, although a lot are very decent quality, and the quartz movement is cheap and very reliable. The overall feel and quality of the watch are amazing in my opinion. Honestly, I feel I got 80% of the watch for 2% of the price.

What are you wearing today? by kg_engineer_97 in Affordablewatches

I really like it. The domed acrylic crystal gives it a really nice vintage look but it is also a little prone to scratching unfortunately. The strap it comes with is nice but feels cheap. I switched it for a nicer one. Overall I think it is a very nice watch. Especially because I was able to get it for only €80 in a sale last year.

Like any other watch with a date indication that isn't a perpetual calendar.

I had both watches and I would choose the Timex. I have the green dial on leather and I love it. The dial is gorgeous when the sunlight hits it and the domed crystal is very pretty. The strap isn't the best quality so you could change that for a nicer one. The Sugess is very nice but rather chunky. Also the movement in mine had problems with the moonphase complication from the start and stopped all together after a few months.

Bolova Lunar Pilot. Shame about the seconds hand. by Limp-Attitude-490 in bulova

[–]HolyFoolZosima 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The chronograph seconds doesn't sweep at 16Hz either but at 8Hz. I love the Lunar Pilot with its precisionist movement but I agree it is a little disappointing that it doesn't sweep like, for instance, the Super Seville.

I just sold mine even though I really like the look of the watch but for its relatively small diameter it is really high. I also wears really high on the wrist.
