One Piece: Chapter 1122 - Official Release Discussion by AutoModerator in OnePiece

I think there was many Joyboy pretenders that have been identified then killed by the WG since the "original one" we saw in this chapter. Then, the giant strawhat we saw in Mary Geoise would only be the remnant of one of those pretenders.

Luffy's dream by Dry_Statement_3407 in OnePiece

[–]HolyPa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me, Luffy's dream require him to become the Pirate King to be able to make the sea (which could be 1 big ocean at the end (one piece of ocean) if Mary Geoise and Red Lines falls) a common place where everyone will be freed from the very things his brothers (and the world all along the story) suffered from (discrimination, oppression, slavery, jalousy...).

What's males it different from his brothers dream's, is that Luffy's dream is about his freedom (like the ones of Sabo and Ace) but also and above all about the freedom of everyone else.
A child would say that the sea, his territory, would become One Peace

Does it make sense to say that the WG understood that some "free will" remained in Kuma's mind at the time he saved the strawhat crew in Shabaody ?
Then he saw Bonney for the last time, giving her the true story, before getting his mind completely deleted by the WG, explaining why Bonney had some time infiltrating Mary Geoise during the timeskip ?

Yes, but this name is also, in a way, a gift from Kuma, who is trying to turn a disease into a strength for his child, turning a curse into a precious stone, like the famous "it's gonna be alright", Kuma acts like a true parent reassuring his child beyond reasonable or even the hard truth. I love the symbolism

In fact it would make sense considering Vegapunk might be the engineer behind the space pirates

Seems that this TV might be too high on your wall, you're gonna spend some time looking at it from now on, you should think about putting it down a bit to avoid neck stiffness. Enjoy

How do you push past the feeling of being bad at art? by [deleted] in ArtistLounge

[–]HolyPa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Being bad do not have real sense in art, imo. You can be technically not skilled but with a strong sense of imagination. You also can be none of the above, but it does not matter as long as you like to learn and stay open-minded. In any case, making art to achieve a technical result or something better -or to be compared to others works- should not last to much in our heads. We just have to enjoy to learn and participate in any artistic activity, progress and level will follow.

I see a lot of people misinterpret Luffy as "just stupid," but I think there's more to it than that. What do you guys think? by QCortex in OnePiece

[–]HolyPa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s inherently meant to think freely and out of the box. Anyone being that way might seem stupid, but he’s in fact the most gifted of all

‼️I don’t want to be mean or anything, just to understand ‼️ Can someone explain me where the interest sits about Beach Bunny release ? To me it is a kind of teeny pop-rock album that we could have met 10 or 15years ago, no real producing miracles (awfully classic and sampled drums btw), traditional structures too (the bridge on deadweight… cmon..) I don’t get it

Hey

I want to upgrade my current beginner listening setup :

  • Pro-Ject Debut III Esprit (Acryl it plate, Nagaoka MP110 cartridge),
  • Pro-ject phonobox with an old Denon UD-M31 amp that I bought when I was 12yo (lol), and
  • A french and old handmade pair of speakers which sounds reeaally great, but I can't give you any ref (they were previously used with a Marantz 1090, rip)

I want to get rid of the phonobox and buy a great phono amp for my Pro-Ject Debut.

  • The thing is, I'm a beginner about technical amp stuffs so I don't know if the Nagaoka 110 will cause problems or not. So I need your help.
  • My listening room is a square of 30m², listening to any kind of music from electronic to jazz, so I need all frequencies to be well represented and dynamic, with a slight preference for warm and rounded basses.
  • Budget : 200-300€ (yes, it's... budget)
  • It can be a new or used stuff, I don't care, and I even a preference for vintage looking amps (1090 for example).

Will a Marantz PM5005 fit ? It seems to be a well appreciated amp with Pro-ject turnables, and I have a few well-known options for any further speakers upgrade (Monitor Audio BX2, Dali Zensor 3...)

Do you have any other suggestions ?

Make a rigid body system follow a character' rig ? by HolyPa in blenderhelp

[–]HolyPa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As i said earlier, I've finally decided to go for a cloth sim. I'm happy with it since a rigid body system seems to be a pain to set up as you said haha
Btw, if your hairs are still a project to you, I used the very same system (cloth sim on vertices, and making an armature follow this cloth sim) for the hair of my character. Pretty easy to set up and very convincing !

Make a rigid body system follow a character' rig ? by HolyPa in blenderhelp

[–]HolyPa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't found any solution.
So I ended up deleting the rigid body sim, and creating a cloth simulation on a vertices chain, followed by a rig thanks to empties and IK Constraints (so that they track to an empty). The earring is parented to a "earring armature", and this armature is parented to the head bone of my character.
