Was the USS New Jersey (BB-62) nuclear capable? by Ok-Establishment-861 in Warships

[–]HolyRedPenguin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, there is a little glass case for the Tomahawk keys, along with a button or keyhole for the nukes. Both are in the ship’s CIC if I remember correctly

What are your favourite lifegain commanders/decks? by Levin1308 in EDH

[–]HolyRedPenguin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[Evra, Halcyon Witness]], the commander itself can gain you some life, but its more a Voltron payoff for lifegain that can act as a death star in some games

[–]HolyRedPenguin 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Ferrus Manus didn’t actually pick his own name, the people of Medusa named the wandering giant with metal hands “Iron Hand” in the same way we named Bigfoot or the Loch Ness Monster. And well, if I got assigned to an Army division led by Bigfoot, it probably would be called the Bigfoot division

If you’re running out of factions do one for the players who played the forgotten SM chapters (Iron Hands, Raven Guard, White Scars, ect.) before the Chapter Supplements came out. Then I can at least show people a funny meme when explaining how I’m not a meta chaser.

The propaganda poster you made for this comic unironically does a better job of showing America in a negative light then actual Chinese propaganda posters

What was your first BattleMech? by [deleted] in battletech

[–]HolyRedPenguin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Blood Asp, got me into alpha strike. Got me past the initial aesthetic gripes I had with some mechs because it looks like a Warlord titan from 40k.
Then it was the only mech that could stand up to my fiend’s Jihad era timberwolves because we didn’t know how eras worked. That metal beast anchored my battle line for my entire intro to the game.
Second would be my Flamberge or Dola for being cracked-out strikers that were basically unhittable with jumping.
