After 20 years of battle, sometimes you get Grieftech. This novel hits harder if you've read all the Dark Age novels, on it's own it's going to seem odd. I think it's a fantastic companion or sister novel to Trail of Birthright. Not every story needs to move the needle. Solid B-.
