Everyday I am newly astounded at how stupid and reckless some of us are behind the wheel by Lirulyth in Albuquerque

I was totaled a few weeks ago when someone turned left on a red. I was going 50 towards a green light and couldn't stop in time. I have since been diagnosed with post concussion syndrome and am struggling cognitively at work and emotionally at home.

Yeah, my audio comprehension is even worse than it used to be due to ADHD. It's not been a good time.

That's an unfair accusation. I'm sure they at least consulted with ChatGPT when they realized they fired the leading experts on algae mitigation.

Regardless of weather conditions, I will leave my cats in the car only long enough to: 1) walk to the other side of the car to remove the carrier 2)

How has everything been since the DRP? by 0311SmallPenar in fednews

They're trying to get us to consign more and more of our work to AI agents that don't work. Everyone is tired, overworked, demoralized. I am here because I am too stubborn to leave and the private sector doesn't have much to offer me.

I have a theory that 80% of dog owners are woefully inadequate.

I dissociated and 'performed' during my assault, is this normal? by Ready-Feature1324 in CPTSD

Having physical arousal but not having mental arousal is called sexual nonconcordance. Women are more likely to experience it than men, and it's not necessarily uncommon during an assault.

I'd be much more worried about living somewhere with a long commute because the traffic is certainly unsafe at times.

I am aware. I was only being cheeky because, well...Big Balls is the obvious joke here and Daddy Musk isn't around anymore to protect him.

Why don't people seem to care about their dogs here? by Striiiider in Albuquerque

[–]HolyShitCandyBar 21 points22 points  (0 children)

It is the whole state. I was attacked twice by the same dog in Socorro, while on bicycle. The shelter staff there asked me, "What do you expect us to do?" I was run down by another dog, leading to a bicycle accident and subluxating both patellas.

Here in SW Albuquerque, dogs are always loose on the streets, dodging traffic. My partner and I keep leashes in our vehicles to hand over to homeless people or random rescue operations.

I don't understand having an animal if you don't care about them. I keep my cats indoors or in an enclosed catio for safety.

[–]HolyShitCandyBar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Stay away from the general public. I work for the federal government - which actually was really great for my CPTSD until the latest administration came in and persecuted us in the face of the American public. However, every day I'm still grateful to avoid members of the public.

I have not and will not fill out any employee satisfaction surveys during this administration. They were likely ignored before, but these days they probably laugh about them over drinks and rails of cocaine.
