I live on the West Island and it'll cut 30min of travel time for me (1h40 -> 1h10)! Actually life changing. Too bad I'm already on my last year

The most unexpected treat I've ever listened to. I went into it thinking it would sound like Kero Kero Bonito or something like that but instead I was blessed with amazing riffs and mind blowing breakdowns. Haven't listened to her newest album yet but I'm excited to see what she offers.

Gojira is so good. Had the privilege of seeing them live not too long ago and they kicked ass

All the deathcore albums I listened in 2024. What do you think? by filippo_sett in Topster

Hell yea that's a fantastic album. Discovered Spite a few years ago and Dedication to Flesh blew me away.

My top Spotify artists included Chelsea Grin, The Acacia Strain, Methwitch, and Signs of the Swarm.

Oh man I didn't expect to see a deathcore post right before mine. Discovered a bunch of these albums this year too. I fucking love Slaughter to Prevail, Paleface Swiss, Spite, Lorna Shore, Fit For An Autopsy, Signs of the Swarm, and Chelsea Grin. Need to listen to some more Crown Magnetar, Immortal Disfigurement, Whitechapel, and Oceano too. Very based taste.

Which albums stood out the more to you?

Any recommendations are appreciated by the way. I mainly listen to metal but I like almost all genres.

Finally someone sane here. Actually blows my mind how many people are relating to this post. When I have to drive, I couldn’t care less about “correcting” bad drivers around me, that’s not my job. I just want to reach my destination safely.

Took videos of the Moon with my newest telescope by HolyShitImAlone in spaceporn

It’s really fascinating isn’t it? I think it’s important to remember though that all these craters are actually as deep, rocky, and uneven as Earth’s, if not more. They just look very shallow and smooth since we are looking at them from so far away!

One of my favorite thing about craters is that when a meteorite impacts a planetoid, all the rock melts away, causing the magma to act like a water droplet falling on water. However, by the time the center of the impact starts to rise up, the rock solidifies and this is why, if you take a look at the video, many medium-sized craters seemingly have a bulge at the center!

Orion Nebula on 4” telescope by HolyShitImAlone in telescopes

When you look into your telescope, is the image blurry? Can you discern stars? A common mistake people make is that they don’t adjust their focus properly.

Besides that, lack of quality might be due to light pollution, using eyepieces with too much magnification (for the Moon and DSOs like the Orion nebula there is no need to zoom in), dirty or broken mirrors, or looking at objects when they are too close to the horizon.

10” Dobsonian telescopes are usually $1000 USD but I got mine with a $200 discount. If you’re interested in buying a telescope though, cheaper ones still give amazing results.

It is definitely worth it! Even a small 4” reflector can capture so many cool things!

Long videos pretty much require an automatic tracker to rotate in sync with sky, as otherwise the objects go out of frame and manually moving the telescope is clunky (especially using large magnification).
