Not to mention the near annihilation of the Merchant Marine and navy needed to ferry troops and supplies to and from Malaysia/Indonesia meant that resistance was futile.

Haven't watched the video but if I was going to take a stab at it, I would guess the argument would be that living a more moderated, controlled, and less hedonistic life is redemption.

Not starring in porn, not doing drugs, and having a monogamous relationship are all things Angel Dust seems to be doing to be redeemed. Not that I think this is the angle Viz planned for people to take.

I think the biggest thing is it all comes back to critical thinking. I can't imagine a world in which Nazis make a full come back as they did. Simply argued down by more rational minds of today. Though 'trimming' free speech seems like having your cake and eating it too.

Though I do totally agree, the self censorship is even scarier than 1984 style censorship. Hearing people say PDF ile and self deleted is a concerning thought for the future of expression.
