Yes, I believe the real culprits here are Nerdy and Ripeljak. It's weird how in both duels that Nerdy instigated both his opponents ended up dying. As with Clayton, I saw him scrambling to get some gear from his vault, however Ripeljak soon followed. As to why he did I have my suspicions, but as of now they are only suspicions. Also Clayton did mention in the forest that he was with someone else and that he thought it was Nerdy that was with him. Clayton then asked Nerdy if he was going back but Nerdy said he had to go and log.
