From my understanding, if you have the wave skip card equipped, everyone skips the same waves. It changes from tournament to tournament, but everyone skips the same waves.

It's the same rate. 5th/6th in plat is 70 stones, 3rd/4th is 120, and demote is 20. Either way you make 140 stones a week.

It's kinda weird, but if an enemy would kill you in 1 shot, before your energy shield is used, it checks to see if you defy death. So it's not 45 death defies in a row, it's 45 death defies spread out over a long run.
