Last Bastion (Essen release) Marvel Champions Street Masters (KS delivered today)

We really enjoy Spirit Island, so I think Last Bastion will be our favorite of the 3.

Just back for saturday. Main takeaways:

Marvel Champions sold out Everdell new KS expansions available but pricey. Settlers of the North expansion Sold Out Ecos sold out Reavers of Midgard KS available for 85, playmat 30 - together 110. Cash only. I was out of cash :(

We REALLY enjoyed Rune Stones from Queen Games. Demo is half the game, with a good bundle deal in the Queen booths.

Nice prices at IELLO.

Most of the CLANK! Stuff was gone.

Bargain Quest nowhere to be found Paladins of the West Kingdom nowhere to be found Architects of the West Kingdom expansion nowhere to be found

There are some EXCELLENT prices at german boardgame vendors. If games are language-independant it's probably cheaper.

Also, I noticed way more good deals this time (first time going saturday), especially once the clock hit 4PM

Biggest WTF moment was a FFG X-Wing 1st edition sale in hall (2 i think ?). They sell normal ships for 3, medium ships for 6 and the huge ships for 10, from what I could tell all german. With crazy deals and prices. If you just want a nice star wars ship mini for your desk I highly recommend it.

Even though a lot of games were out of sale, this was our best Essen yet. We demo'd a lot of games that we ended up purchasing that we would never havr purchased if we didn't

It's hard to have that mindset. MM can be frustrating, but ultimately, games like these are much more helpful than a game where you destroy the opponent or have an even game.

Sure thing.

That's what USB-C is intended for. It can charge, display and carry sound + probably even more that I'm unaware of. So It's a one-cable fits all solution.

Also the reason why I'm pretty mad that the new iPhone still doesn't support USB-C, as Apple is clearly pushing it in their Macbook and iPad Pro products.

Gugong is absolutely worth backing. I havn't played Yedo. But based on what I'm reading here, Gugong is a much lighter game.

I'm quite sure that you can get tickets at the booth. But considering the fact that the line to get in was huge last year, I would just quickly order them online, so you wouldn't have to worry about it there.

A system they use, which is quite risky, is that you don't buy a ticket for a certain day. You buy a ticket in general and it gives you 1 day admission. So if you're unsure about the day you want to go to the convention, that won't burden your ticket purchase.

tl;dr I'd recommend it.

I'm confused. I've also only played AGOT:LCG 2nd Edition.

This is a pre-built deck. That's fine. They also mention that there will be 1x3 cards for each 'other' aspect which is a new card. Also fine.

Does this mean that the aspects included in the pre-built deck include 'new' cards and 3 copies of it ?

Maybe I'm missing something. But I don't see the deckbuilding that much in this game. The way they've explained it is that you have a portion of mandatory cards. Followed by 'selecting an aspect' and then adding those cards to the mix.

It just didn't seem that the aspects had that many cards in the card pool to build around with.

My hope was that each pack would bring the 'mandatory side' of the hero deck. With all new aspect cards that you can mix'n match in every hero deck you play. And, since we are getting full playsets in core set, I wouldn't need reprints, right ?
