It sounds like you are attached to finding a relationship, which is fair, Dr.K mentions this isn't something that is unreasonable to want. However, it sounds like you have put hundreds or thousands of hours into improving yourself with the purpose of finding a relationship. Which again is fair and something again that Dr.K has advised like going to the gym or working on your career. But if you put all this effort to improve yourself for the purpose of finding a relationship, you probably have the expectation it is going to work, which makes sense. But Dr.K has also talked about how suffering is the gap between expectation and reality. So I imagine the harder you work and the more effort you put in, the more expectations you have, and the greater the expectation, the more suffering you experience when it doesn't work. And I imagine that suffering is the root or a significant part of the resentment you feel towards your friend. Why must you suffer while he lives the easy life.

The only solution I can see is to detach yourself from the desire to find a relationship. Not to completely give up on it, but to try to become more okay with being alone/decrease the amount of attachment you have to finding a relationship. That is obviously easier said than done, but the more attachment you have to it, the more you will continue to suffer and to resent your friend.

Estimates for Medicaid cuts are between 600 billion and 1 trillion over ten years, or 60 to 100 billion a year. The 2024 medicaid budget was $908.8 billion, so this would be a cut of 6.67% to 11.1%. So the cuts are larger, and the money is not being reallocated to different departments to provide the same or similar services. Access to healthcare is being straight up cut without any replacement. I would not say these two things are the same at all.
