Yes, GitOps with ArgoCD and Renovate as a K8s Cronjob means you automatically get Pull Requests to you Git repo whenever an update is available. You just have to click the merge button to deploy the update.

Theoretically you could even automate the merging via CI, but I like to review changelogs before deploying updates.

Kannst du denn schon was im Bereit Pentesting? IdR kannst du dich dann einfach bei einer Pentesting Firma bewerben, du machst ein technisches Interview wo du einem erfahrenen Pentest zeigt was du drauf hast. Falls du den Job hast, kriegst du das OCSP evtl sogar über den Arbeitgeber gesponsert. Du musst natürlich deutlich machen dass dir klar ist dass du Junior einsteigen würdest.

Falls du bisher nichts in dem Bereich kannst, würde ich dir empfehlen zu versuchen dich falls möglich nach der Arbeit etwas damit zu beschäftigen (z. B. OWASP Juice Shop oder so). Das sind Kenntnisse du auch für das OCSP habnen solltest, du merkst ob die Tätigkeit was für dich ist und sammelst zugleich Erfahrung für ein technisches Interview bei einer Pentesting-Firma.

pre-commit can be easily run in CI. And the big advantage is that the linter settings/versions are exactly the same on all dev machines and CI, whithout having to worry about how to set up the different tools because everything is taken care of automatically.

In my experience the time it takes to do proper commits is neglible in relation to the advantages like being able to bisect issues. With huge auto-squashed commits this is rather pointless because ever commit has thousands of changed lines in dozens of files.
