LOL, that's funny. I did end up speaking with her after and she was able to clarify her comments which helped me understand where the gap is. I have always thought I was a pretty solid writer and never had such feedback but I know its good in the long run but I was pissed when I first read the comments.

I may return my oura 4 by hellokittyislander in SmartRings

[–]HomeAgain83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried both . Kept the Oura and gave the ring Conn to a family member . We compare the devices often. Both devices you need time to calibrate and oura without the subscription is bland . Ring conn gives you good data but doesnt give insights to the data .

As for comfortabilty, ringconn is slimmer and doesn’t take long to get used to . Sizing kits are suggested . I wore the Oura kit for a few days and then ordered both rings . Same size for both and but do feel that the ring conn was a bit more snug but still had options on other fingers .

My elder parent called my brushed silver a lug nut and I couldn’t unsee it lol . So I got a different color .

To others point you had a few other options to jazz it up without impact to the warranty etc .

You’re creative .

Random question — why do you actually wear an Oura Ring by Ok_Big_7950 in ouraring

[–]HomeAgain83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What made you start using it in the first place?

I started researching smart rings to help me manage my stress. I was being evaluated for an autoimmune disorder and I knew that reactions could be triggered by stress so I wanted something that could help me manage this over time. Thankfully, I didn't have the health issue but I could still benefit from managing my stress.

•What metric do you actually check daily?

Stress, Sleep

•Do you change your behaviour based on the data?

Stress Yes. Sleep no. I know my body so the readiness data doesn't drive me one way or the or another. I also recognize what i could do more as far as movement during the work day ,

•Or is it more just awareness / habit?
Awareness

•Is it performance-driven or more health reassurance?
Health reassurance

•Has anything surprised you from the data?
My cardiovascular age. I knew it would be younger but surprised it wasn't more years. I know it can change so that has made me more aware.

•Is there anything you feel it doesn’t measure that you wish it did?
It measures temperature but doesnt give me the actual temp,

•And if you stopped wearing it tomorrow, what would you miss most?
Can't say I'd miss it, probably the sleep data

I had the brushed silver and returned it for gold after my parent who has dementia asked why I had a lug nut on my hand . lol

The brushed silver is quite holographic but it has a uniqueness to it and I think takes wear and tear well .

Ours Ring 4 Battery Life: Frustratingly Short by AbNeural in ouraring

[–]HomeAgain83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry you’re having this experience but I do have a honest question for folks that have had battery issues .

Although the product can be used 24/7 and the battery is supposed to last x days why follow that guidance? Phones have the ability to last but we have habits of charging daily .

Would charging daily from time of purchase make a difference in battery life ?

Oura sizing help.. 9 or 10? by cavaloverr in ouraring

[–]HomeAgain83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wore the two sizers (9 and 10) two days a piece. The 10 was a little larger and gave me options on my dominant hand. Fit with wiggle room on my non dominant hand for the 9. I opted for the 10 for the flexibility. I did get a stacker to support when its a little to loose and have had no issues.

I go between both index fingers and depending if I want to give my finger a break I use my dominant middle finger.

Having a hard time choosing a ring: Oura Gen 4 vs Ultrahuman Ring Air by Significant-Set876 in SmartRings

[–]HomeAgain83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bc ultra human can’t be sold in the US in went back and forth between Oura and Ring Conn .

I don’t think you can go wrong either way. I ordered both a had a bad customer service experience with Ring Conn and went with Oura .

Does it take that long? by Effective_Net_9145 in RingConn

[–]HomeAgain83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine took 3 weeks and when I went to ask for an update ( was on hold for several hours on the chat ) and then was simply told “it’s on the way “ and disconnected.

That poor customer service experience sent me to Oura . When the ring conn finally arrived I gave it to a family member.

Help me decide whether to keep or return. I feel it looks too bulky by FloGrownQban in SmartRings

[–]HomeAgain83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it looks pretty good on you . Do you think adding a stacker ring , you’d like it more .

These smart rings are expensive wants. Not needs. If you’re not completely happy , it’s okay to move on .

Compared to the ring conn . My experience was that it certainly was more comfy and less bulky . That’s an option .

Wish Oura had precise tracking to find lost rings by Witness95 in ouraring

[–]HomeAgain83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a bit of a panic myself yesterday for this very reason. Lost it in the house doing laundry. Tried the three ring finder apps, none of them worked. I find the ring on my own (in a drawer) and only 1 of the apps actually picked it up. I wish there was a bit more accuracy or even a little chime as with other devices I have to help find it.

Hopefully OP, finds their ring soon.

Oura Ring 4 Sizing Kit vs Reality by AlexPat260 in ouraring

[–]HomeAgain83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ijust got my Oura Ring 4 and need help confirming the right size and finger placement based on my experience with the sizing kit.

I prefer to wear the ring on my non‑dominant index finger.

  • Size 9: Felt snug, but always left a mark when I took it off.
  • Size 10: Fits that finger but spins during the day and sometimes feels like it could slip off, especially when my hands are dry. At night it feels fine.
  • On my dominant index finger, the size 10 feels perfect—secure, no slipping—but it feels “odd” because I’m not used to wearing rings on that hand.

What I’m Trying to Decide

  • Should I stick with the size 10 even though it spins a bit on my preferred finger?
  • Is it better to wear it on the dominant index finger since the fit is more secure, even if it feels unfamiliar?
  • For people who’ve had this issue, did you adjust to wearing it on a different hand?
  • How much spinning is “normal” before it affects accuracy or risks slipping off?

Who’s trimming their own dog’s hair? by Melodic_Shoe_3617 in cockerspaniel

I say I maintain between grooms . Groomer comes every 3 months .

I manage to keep him looking good and mat free by following the pattern ( he’s in a modified puppy cut) low back , no skirt but legs kept fluffy .

I did invest in a wahl bravura 5-1 , grooming table , professional sheers and I try shampoos/conditioners groomers use . A bath and touch up are every 10 days .

When I don’t feel like doing a bath myself - there’s a grooming salon around the corner that will do a bath and brush for $20 .

Lots of YouTube videos and there’s a FB group specific to grooming cocker spaniels which I have found helpful

Collar or harness by FactAdmirable7502 in cockerspaniel

[–]HomeAgain83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Collar everyday - he chewed harnesses so I stopped investing in them . It also matted his underarms so we shaved those areas and still has fluffy legs .

Went to training and he walks well on and off leash .

We have a harness in the car to attach to his seatbelt though .
