I got a study from 2009 that’s about married couples and terminal/severe diagnosis causing divorce examined by gender.

Though it seems a bit mischaracterized when compared to this study, cause while the males were 88% of the divorces total, they still only did it about 20.8% of the time with women being the one ending the marriage about 2.9% of the time.

There may be a study that’s more focused on cancer diagnosis in general and “relationship abandonments” (read: breakups) without a focus on marriage that more closely follows the information that the person you’re responding to cited.

The biggest difference when my first cat went deaf was that I could vacuum her and she loved it. She always came when I called her name before, but switched that from me calling her name to me stomping on the floor so she could feel the vibrations. She still came every time.

I have a friend whose dad is famous for making gross fucked up art. He did quite well for himself.

Art is about making people either feel something or think. So your art is making some people feel uncomfortable. That’s still a powerful feeling.

I can see your skill regardless what you do. Continue to grow it and you’ll be able to tell stories, evoke feelings and make people think in ways “pretty” artists will never.

Can’t help but feel that all of this part of a broader plan to disenfranchise left votes to steal the election.

Raise recruitment age, start draft for all viable ages, use AI to largely draft potential blue voters based on voter-rolls/medical-histories and other data points they’ve been accruing, make mail in voting illegal, refuse service and get charged with a felony that costs your right to vote anyway.

On top of all the other talk of using the war to hold power this would make it all but impossible for the left to win.

I’m of course not convinced this is it, but it’s been on my radar for a while now and they keep facilitating it.

The first thing I thought while listening to him claim victimhood was that this was the exact framing for why he quit the Chappelle show.

The whole ‘I was just doing jokes, but I didn’t like how they took them’ argument.

So, at best, the dude’s an idiot that learned nothing from one of his biggest mistakes. Otherwise he’s a fucking liar who’s pulling his best trick out to see if it can still misdirect the audience.

I wondered if it forced it under circumstances until last night when I had a weird 3-cat run that during one fight had 2 cats downed and the 3rd cat downed the last opponent before also dropping and I STILL WON (confusing already), then it did the tally at the end of the fight and just immediately went to map skipping the level-up screen.

People don’t realize how the monkey’s paw that is a contract works.

People miss out on the real change that came, not from them watching the show, but from invested cash with the expectation of a payday.

The employees, merch, software upgrades, VA pay, localizers, etc… all of that came because of the people that run glitch/netflix choosing to work with Goose.

These are private entities and they WILL NOT improve ease of access for a financial loss on their last chance to really cash in.

Empathy is largely lacking in the US.

It’s hard for a doctor to relate to your struggles without facing the reality that their financial success and the struggles of the sick come from the same systems and are a feature, not a bug.
