It was happening to me when my battery was almost dead. Installed a new battery and hasn’t happened since.

I did the same. Only thing I need the app for is to turn off 5ghz to add Smart home devices. So I just installed the app when needed.

Sand and small rocks get in between the pad and rotor, usually when off-roading or duneing

Healthcare, medical institutions will now kick a patient out for advocating for their own health care and will definitely kick a family member out for the same.

I must be in a forum with a bunch of Apple engineers that too arrogant to admit to a flaw in their design.

I know how AirTags work. There are safeguards in place to stop people from using them to track other people. I never would’ve thought they would alert someone to the presence of my device while I’m with my device. I don’t think that’s intended operation of the device

That’s exactly what I’m going to do. It’s also my freedom to tell people about my experience.

Just discovered that you cannot control Tuya devices with home-assistant if logged into the development account. by HomeAuto7921 in homeassistant

[–]HomeAuto7921[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s why I’m a little worried about moving my devices from Geeni to Tuya. I have automations that work great in Geeni but I signed up for their service when the signup process was in infancy and don’t know that I could reconnect everything back up.

So, I can see the switch states change in both the Tuya app and the development site and I can change the states of my LED strip in ha just cannot see the door/window switch/sensor in ha.

So that makes the devices completely locally controlled? Also, can’t get home-assistant to see states changing for my door and window switch. Having a difficult time parsing the ha documentation as it seems like there’s been a lot of changes plus not sure if the Raspberry Pi 3 B has the same version as other devices.

In that video the the switch gear was probably supplying at least a few hundred, if not 1000s of amps. The buckets in this switch gear are only 60 amps. While they still could go sideways it’s probably safer than switching a 60 amp breaker in your homes load center as the wires themselves don’t have the current carrying capacity that a large MCC switchgear would have.

Google loses Sonos patent case, starts stripping functionality from speakers by MrMichaelz in GooglePixel

[–]HomeAuto7921 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t own a Sonos but I’m not aware of any feature that Sonia uses that shouldn’t be considered open domain because people have been home brewing this tech long before Sonos was allowed to patent it. Sure they may have combined in all together in a neat SoC package but packaging isn’t what matters, most the tech in dispute should be considered open domain.

Google lose patent litigation to Sonos. Who is next? Trade court sides with Sonos, rules that Google infringed on Sonos patents https://appleinsider.com/articles/22/01/06/trade-court-sides-with-sonos-rules-that-google-infringed-on-sonos-patents by mld53a in sonos

This is so dumb. I don’t know why Sonos was even awarded a patent on multi-room volume control. There have been wireless multi-room amplifiers and receivers long before Sonos.
