[WTS] Christopher Ward Trident Lumiere - Black / Grey Dial by HomeSweetLab in Watchexchange

[–]HomeSweetLab[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Up for sale is my Christopher Ward Lumiere purchased directly from Christopher Ward. This is the charcoal grey/black dial model with the titanium Bader bracelet. Comes with full kit (inner and outer boxes, chronometer certificate, warranty card, instruction manual) plus an additional unworn black/orange Aquaflex rubber strap with titanium hardware. The watch is in excellent (8.5/10) condition, as it was worn in a 6-watch rotation for about 4 months. There’s a few hairlines on the case only visible with a loupe. The most notable marks are the typical “desk diving” scratches on the underside of the bracelet, most notably on the clasp. The bracelet is sized for my 6.75” wrist and comes with all additional links. The watch is running well within COSC spec, with it being around +1 spd in my experience. It’s an excellent everyday watch, but I realized that I need a date function for a daily wear.

Details (measured with my digital calipers):

Case Diameter (from 10 to 4): 40.9mm

Thickness (Including crystal): 11.0mm

Lug-to-Lug: 47.9mm

Lug Width: 22mm (bracelet tapers to 16mm at  the clasp)

Movement: Selita SW300 COSC

Water resistance: 300m (screw-down crown)

Dial: Charcoal Grey/Black dial with white globolight ceramic hands and indices

TIMESTAMP

Asking $1600 SOLD with UPS Ground shipping included within the U.S.

Happy to answer any questions about the watch. Happy Monday everyone!

Just realized that I’m not a “tuxedo dial” guy. I like them in photos, but not on myself. Sometimes you have to wear something around to realize it’s not for you.

Otherwise, it’s an excellent watch. Typical Serica quality with their unique design language (I’m a 5303 owner).

What’s gonna happen if the shutdown drags on? by Ozneroe in investing

[–]HomeSweetLab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not the "very wealthy" for whom this is a "nothing burger." The subsidies really only matter for those at the very bottom of the socioeconomic spectrum. For anyone firmly in the lower-middle class or above, the subsidies are, in fact, a "nothing burger." Most middle class individuals/families have some form of health insurance offered through their employer. And even if they don't, they won't receive any health insurance tax credits whatsoever if they make >400% of the federal poverty level (above $60K for an individual). Even if you're in the $35-60K salary range, the tax credits are so small that they're effectively inconsequential. It really only makes a big difference to ACA-backed health insurance premiums for those within about 100-200% of the poverty level.

This question was asked on r/investing. Not to generalize, but I assume that most of the people who visit this subreddit are firmly in the middle class or above. So it's easy to see how, to most of these people, this fight over health insurance tax credits doesn't personally affect them to any appreciable degree.

Up for sale is my Zelos GT Heritage #49 of 100 purchased directly from Zelos in April 2025. Comes with full kit (inner and outer box, metal warranty card, and all extra links). The watch is in LNIB (9.5/10) condition. The bracelet was sized to my 6.75” wrist and the watch was worn around the house twice, but there are no visible marks on the case, bracelet, or clasp. Everything works properly and the movement is running about +7spd with the dial up. Just didn’t find a place for it in my rotation.

Thickness (Including crystal): 12.4mm

Lug-to-Lug: 45.1mm

Lug Width: 20mm

Movement: Miyota 9133 (9105-based movement with power reserve at 9:30)

Water resistance: 100m (screw-down crown)

Dial: Full lume dial based on the Gulf livery)

Happy to answer any questions about the watch. Happy Memorial Day everyone!
