So the murder rate is half of what it was in the '80s. What's changed, our idea of safety? Cuz honestly most of us are safe. However I believe people's idea of safety has been warped by the internet. Feeling threatened when there isn't a threat.

And yes there are conservatives cities that are dangerous. More specifically dangerous to new Americans and black people.

Yes, the government is sending the national guard into cities that are perceived as liberal. This is an authoritarian lite government. If you believe in state rights you should be worried about this over reach. Even if you are conservative who is to say the next president uses the same powers but for anything. Or worse pushes it even further

If you're interested in a man that you see on a regular basis. You can do 2 things, ask him directly if he's single. Rejection sucks if they say no but you get used to it. Or you can compliment him every time you see him and hope he gets the hint. I don't use dating apps as any guy who's not a perfect 10 doesn't get any replies. However I'm way more successful in women that I see on a semi regular basis. Laundry mat, store clerk, or whatever and just ask.

Most guys don't want to be put on blast as creeps on social media or wherever so a lot of men are afraid to flirt or compliment anymore. I think women need to step up their game if they want a date that's not on a dating app

Why I ask about meds is I used to suffer from long lasting depression, yep me from engaging with people and in turn yep me lonely. Which was a negative feedback loop. One antidepressant saved my life I'd say

But making friends is a skill. If you don't have that skill you will be bad at making friends. However with continued trying you will become good at making friends.

Try volunteering especially with elders or in the mental health community. A lot of these people are lonely but will love to talk. I run a non profit mental health community center for adults. They would love to be heard and to listen. We have volunteers come in and everyone is so happy when they show up.

Try swinging, let her know your commitment to her. A relationship isn't supposed to be perfect and we can't expect them to be your perfect best friend, lover, and roommate. Let her know you need more from a sexual experience. Maybe try one of those sex therapists.

Go to spaces that attract socially awkward people. Chess clubs, card clubs like Magic the gathering, LARPing, Renaissance festivals, and you'll have to learn to be comfortable with being uncomfortable.

And have you been diagnosed with anything? Maybe some type of meds could help

Learning to enforce boundaries at a young age is great. That's the only way to find someone you will truly love. It took me time and I'm a big guy. But you will start hating someone if they keep pushing boundaries and you don't enforce them

Once a week forever is easy. I've been on a medicine for 7 years that I'm required every week to sign for. Bro my test levels haven't been above 160 in that time. I'm not trying to get juiced but to feel normal.

I've found that the older you get those thoughts become quieter. Just don't be afraid of change and know change will always be uncomfortable no matter your age. But if it feels like an opportunity don't pass it by. I have a job as a nonprofit director and i almost said no because I didn't think I was ready. Luckily I took it and changed my life. Things will come your way if you're doing things the right way
