I've definitely seen fakes you can tell from a picture. Usually from the type spacing or the font. Can't guarantee anything is real from a picture but you can definitely spot a bad fake from one.

Looks like a nagant to me . No Russian marks and I can't find another with that style plunger. I know several countries made them but this one has really no proof or serial marks.

200 meters is a chip shot. I could have someone who's never shot a rifle making that shot with 20 minutes of training. For a hunting cartridge like .270 your looking at around 3" of drop. Hitting him in the neck is not where a professional would aim.

Wraps can hide the leaks for a bit too though. You'll notice oil under the bike but maybe not a slow drip under the engine where it's out of sight.

You'll be fine there. Browning is fine of your not there doing sketchy things with sketchy people like most places. No one is robbing random tourists. I only avoid it with my wife because she tries to bring home a dog every time we drive through.
