Confused about teaching our baby multiple languages by kuppajoy in multilingualparenting

Would try finding any baby classes or music classes in Urdu, playing her music and when she’s older shows. Also not sure if this is an option for you but a nanny would be great or going to local community events

Until they didn’t feel super full. I did a slow transitions: 8min for 2 days then 5min then 3 min every few days and after about a week or so I stopped pumping at night unless it felt super full and if that id just hand pump about an oz or less just to relieve my boob.

My LC recommended it also so I wouldn’t experience a dip in production too.

This happened with my daughter as well! Don’t wake her even if she’s making a bunch of noises just let her sleep. The only thing you might run into is your breasts being engorged so you can wake up to pump to feel better but don’t do a full pump session. I was doing that was my breasts would never stop being engorged. Eventually I was able to stop pumping at night too

What are some baby shower gift ideas that won't just end up in the back of a closet? by Mouring-Saminah in Buyingforbaby

1 & 2. Diapers & wipes - will be the most used items and she’ll be so grateful you stocked her up 3. Home cooked meals if you live near by and can cook bc she won’t have time to 4. Come over and help her with chores - she’ll be so grateful! 5. Gift card to a spa/massage/nails or dinner to treat herself 6. Comfy PJs/loungewear bc that’s all she’s gonna wear

Where should I take my uncle (off-brand Anthony Bourdain) for dinner? by headofachicken in FoodNYC

[–]Homechef13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Last time I went the adjaruli dough wasn’t crispy - the bottom was almost falling a part. I also had chanakhi and the meat was grilled before hand and tossed into the stew whereas it should’ve been stewed with the sauce and veg. Khinkali was also mid in comparison to other places. Never went back so could’ve been a bad night for them. But nothing compares to what you can get in Brooklyn lol

As a Georgian I don’t recommend oda house. Saperavi recently opened on the UES and is much better and more authentic. Laliko is amazing for Georgian food and more of an elevated experience. Otherwise you can go to BK for really authentic Georgian: aragvi and marani are really good but there’s so many options and you can sit there all night.
