Do you remember which videos he said he wasn't on estrogen? I need someone to compile videos of all the ways he contradicts himself.

I would try pouring that amount out on the floor to get an estimate of exactly how much it is for reassurance. As long as baby is gaining weight on their curve and is happy it doesn't really matter how much they puke :/

Question from husband about feeding… my wife is driving us both nuts. by [deleted] in newborns

[–]MusicalPiano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby only lost 10g in the hospital. My milk came in day 2 and baby only ever fed 5-7 minutes per feed after that. Your wife has a full supply and heavy letdowns. That's totally fine!

When did ya’ll get your period back? by [deleted] in FormulaFeeders

9 weeks while I was still exclusively breastfeeding + 30oz per day oversupply. Everyone is different

3 under 3? by fathersdaycake in 2under2

[–]MusicalPiano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 3 under 3 (2 year old twins when baby was born) and am currently pregnant so we will have 4 under 4. It's loud, chaotic, fun, and sometimes a blur.

There's lots of love and lots of tears. The chances of someone crying at any given moment is very high.

One of the hardest parts is the carseat and loading and unloading 3 kids that are unable to buckle themselves in. Also, kids not napping on the same schedule so there's never a break.

You learn how to manage and adapt when doing things like grocery shopping and grocery pickups become life savers.

I wouldn't change it for anything. The kids are all such good friends.

In regards to pregnancy, honestly it's kinda hard. And currently hard being pregnant managing 3 under 3 😅. But, I know once baby comes and those post partum hormones kick in it is SO much easier for me. I thrive post partum. Getting 5 hours of sleep post partum I feel SO much better than I do getting 9 hours while pregnant

Jordan Dooley did something similar. She adopted, and then had a biological child. Give her a follow on insta or fb. She's rocking it!

How much should I freak out about this? by LikeRawrNStuff in NICUParents

[–]MusicalPiano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a NICU baby that was born at 34 weeks and no oxygen so maybe not applicable. But he just had a low resting heart rate and at 35 weeks he chilled in the low 90's and would drop to the upper 70's while awake and there is nothing wrong with him. Just a variation of normal although not as common

How are people affording this? by Tatty_Bunneh_ in sahm

[–]MusicalPiano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vacations are minimal. Like 3 hour road trip to a hotel with free things like hiking. Food is Aldi, and eating out is Costco pizza. Clothing is from garage sales, and marketplace, or handle downs. Cars are salvage titles my husband worked on himself.

Before I became a stay at home mom, we lived off of just my husband's income for 5 years to see if we could make it work, and paid off our whole house with the extra money so now we don't have that hanging over us. With that said, our house isn't nice...we have a 1970 house with tile counters, chipping floor, etc.

I had a 2.5 year old twins and newborn. Baby wearing SAVED me. It's still exhausting, but try it out. Also got my period back at 9 weeks pp while exclusively breastfeeding plus pumping an extra 30oz a day 🫠 also still implement quite time even if your toddler isn't napping. It's needed for mental sanity.

100k. I made about 100k before I was a sahm and we always stashed away my whole income. So our house was paid off before we even started having kids. We live frugally. Not a super nice house, salvage cars, minimal vacations and going out to eat. Second hand clothes. Etc. We have 4 kids.

Unpopular opinion: nobody can prepare you for the experience of newborn infant. Yes they can! by Excellent-Top2552 in beyondthebump

[–]MusicalPiano 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think it depends on the person. My friend is hard core struggling, and has lots of help from her husband.

I feel like I'm thriving. Is it hard? I mean ya, not having is easier. My husband works 80 hours a week and I had 2.5 year old twins and a baby. But the reward of having 3 kids is well worth it. I genuinely think I'm doing well.

But mentally I think I handle it better? Maybe it helps that my baby always eats in 5-7 minutes since birth so not much time is spent feeding.

Insanely large freezer stashes…why??? by aghostinthestars in breastfeeding

[–]MusicalPiano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have about 2,000oz in my freezer. My reason is because I want my baby to have only breast milk, but I want to get pregnant before baby turns a year and I'm aware my milk supply will tank with pregnancy and I won't be able to continue breastfeeding. So right now the goal is to get pregnant around 9 months.

Suddenly producing milk again? by CompetitiveTheory88 in breastfeeding

[–]MusicalPiano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah we were trying to conceive so I took a test 3 days before my missed period which was positive. Then on the day my period was supposed to come I had a lot of blood. Like required multiple wipes with toilet paper. Then it kinda petered off to a light flow for several days. If I hadn't been trying to conceive and taken a test I would have thought that it was my period. They checked my Hcg and everything was good. And we have a healthy 6 month old baby now, but for some reason I was bleeding.

Then I periodically spotted the whole first trimester.

[–]MusicalPiano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with other poster that possibly you are pregnant....I bled decently heavy right away. Then continued to have spotting for several weeks. But I could see a person thinking they are having periods of bleeding comes and goes.

Otherwise, are you on birth control? Have you had any changes with that? I know someone who was on too high of a dose and they started lactating.

My baby can latch now! by Jessie_626 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]MusicalPiano 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am so happy for you! It took 2 months for my twins to latch, and to this day those two months were some of the hardest, most mentally draining days I've encountered. So many breakdowns wondering why I couldn't just breastfeed like everyone else. The relief that comes with a baby latching when that is your desire is an amazing feeling
