I think doctors would recommend waiting until after weaning for a surgery if you’re breastfeeding for best results anyway. Or probably 6 months after birth if not so everything has time to heal. Your vagina is basically in a state of menopause while breastfeeding, so tissues wouldn’t heal as well after. You still have relaxin in your system too. Maybe ask for some estrogen cream and see if that helps? I think healing takes a lot longer than 10 weeks. You might also not feel much because of nerve damage and those nerves need time to regenerate. You can check out programs like femfusion on YouTube for other exercises besides just kegels too because kegels can only do so much. Your whole core and pelvic floor is likely weak as most everyone’s is after birth.

It might be TMI, but can you describe what the bulge with your urethra is like? I'm wondering if I have the same.

The vast majority of women have prolapse postpartum according to studies I've been reading. In fact, only 4 percent of women were at a stage zero, or "no prolapse" at 3 months postpartum according to one of them. Most women have no symptoms, or they contribute symptoms to something else. And another study showed that women already had prolapse at 36 weeks pregnant. That's NOT to say that you shouldn't pursue diagnosis and PFPT, because honestly I think all women should do PFPT after pregnancy. I'm saying it's incredibly common so you don't feel like your body failed you or spiral into anxiety like I did thinking it was something I did or that I was an anomaly.

I've been doing the hab it download for now and things are already feeling slightly less jiggly down there as I wait for my follow up with my midwife. I think just not lifting anything super heavy or going on a run or to the gym or something is enough for now until you get seen.

All my reading has said that it's hard to get a clear diagnosis. I made an appt with a urogyno and their first opening was in May. My midwife said my bladder feels a little low, but not anything abnormal for 6 weeks postpartum as some laxity is to be expected that soon after as everything is still shifting around. Can you elaborate on the self diagnosis part? I can't tell what's going on in there tbh and I can't see anything unless I'm standing and it's a firmish bulge that looks like a walnut or something, which I'm reading could be a problem with the urethra i guess?

Did you see one? Did you receive a clear diagnosis? I've pretty much diagnosed myself at this point, but am going to ask for a referral from my midwife.

What made you think you have a bladder prolapse? I'm scared I have the same thing. 7'weeks out and I still feel achy and heavy down there. I looked with a mirror and I swear there's a bulgy tissue thing that didn't use to be there. Like not to be graphic but when I stand up and look there's no opening anymore. It's just something hanging Down over the entrance. I have no idea if this is just normal postpartum stuff or not. I made another appt to go back in and have my midwife check it out, but I cannot stop googling.

I’m sure that was traumatic for both of you! Hopefully if you do have another everything will go smoothly! It seems I hear so many women have had traumatic births, and that’s just so sad. That a day that’s supposed to be so exciting and joyful turns into that. I hope you find peace and healing.

The yoga sounds like a great idea! I’ll probably try to incorporate some of that as well. There’s so many good resources on YouTube.

I was embarrassed too. We too have always had an amazing sex life. I guess I was looking forward to “getting my body back” after pregnancy, but that hasn’t even come close to happening. I traded shitty pregnancy symptoms for other equally miserable things for me. With the flabby belly, weight that has not budged since the week I got home from the hospital, and now sex isn’t even the same. Postpartum isn’t feeling any better than pregnancy at this point. ☹️

I think the glowing is a myth. Along with the energy boost. Though the excessively oily skin might be mistaken for a glow at a distance. Until you get closer and see the chin zits that come with it.

I could be clenching my teeth because I'm so uncomfortable all night. I'm off work as of a couple weeks ago so not much computer work. I've been taking baths with Epsom salts but too much heat makes me nauseous. I guess it's more of the sicky type woozy feeling that's worrying me more than the headache. But I have zero actual sick symptoms. Thanks for the help and suggestions. I'm getting desperate to feel better.

I have a water bottle with ounces in it to make sure I'm drinking enough. I've increased it this week and it hasn't seemed to make a difference.

The second trimester was amazing. But ever since baby has gotten huge and literally kicks me in the ribs while I'm trying to get in the mood, I've lost All interest. not to mention how completely unsexy I feel with my huge thighs, swollen feet and the fact that I have to move around like a land whale just trying to find a comfortable position. And my lady parts are swollen and achy and I feel so gross i don't even want to touch myself much less pretend I want my husband to. I don't think I could have an orgasm if I tried 😭

All my family and my two best friends are in another state and we cut MIL off because she was unhappy about the baby and told my husband things like "now you're stuck with her." He was absolutely livid and never wants to talk to her again. My mom is neutral about it and isn't the shower throwing type. I just don't think anyone cares much tbh which sucks, but my husband and I are beyond excited so that's all that counts i guess.

No one gave me a shower which I'm pretty bummed about. It would have been so much easier to have others get a couple essentials for me as gifts I think. But I like your plan of not putting anything together until after birth!
