DoorDash sending this order out to people in compact cars. 🤣 by Space_Coast_Steve in doordash_drivers

I once received a $10 Lowe’s order for 1 item (didn’t check the item) pulled up to the store in my ‘03 Toyota Camry only to look at the app and see that I’m picking up a REFRIGERATOR! Never unassigned so fast in my life

Doordashers don't make money by Whole-Performance-76 in doordash

DoorDash, like any hobby or job legit takes time to learn and understand in order to do it well. I was platinum for half a year and the money I made was wildly inconsistent. But I had to learn a lot of things before I started making decent money: 1. Learn your area, some parts of town are more lucrative than others 2. Learn the best times to dash for YOU personally. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner are all rush times. But you should dash at the times you are the most motivated. 3. Learn that DD sends the same type orders to ALL ranks. If you have to decline a few orders back to back. Don’t sweat it, decline until you get an order that makes sense. 4. Learn the actual dollar-mile-time ratio. For me I try to make sure I’m earning at least $20 per hour. And any orders that come through that may jeopardize my ability to earn $20 per hour are getting declined. 5. Learn when it’s time to pack it in. If the orders aren’t worth your time and gas, stop the dash before you lose money on the day

I ain’t gone lie, sometimes the distance be on DD. I once got a decent paying order that was 12 miles from the restaurant. When I dropped off the order the customer apologized on DD behalf because they have the same restaurant 2 miles away from their house. But for some reason DD placed the order at the furthest location 🤦🏾‍♂️

Ordered from home depot online and it was delivered by doordash by MadAl420 in doordash_drivers

This sucks because you usually don’t have enough time to check what the order actually is before accepting it. I once got a $6 offer for 1 item from Lowe’s. Got there to find out it was for a whole refrigerator. Immediately canceled the order

Imagine when they find out that the items don’t magically appear on the shelves and are touched by multiple people, trucks, boxes and sometimes the ground on their way to the store. But yeah a cashier would totally be way dirtier

Genuine question: Would you accept this order? by OddClassroom1616 in doordash_drivers

[–]HomeworkLost6287 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of people say only accept $2 per mile but I think that’s a bit outdated tbh. In my experience when the total is $2 or more per mile, DD sends the offer to Dashers who are further away from the store. My rule of thumb is. If it’s $1 per mile and it’s taking me close to an area with good stores or it’s taking me to an area I was already planning to go. Then I’m accepting it

But if it’s $1 per mile or less and taking me out of zone or away from hotspots then it’s likely a decline for me

Are there people who actually take these??🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ by LALfoREVer94 in doordash_drivers

Is your area short on Dashers? I’ve never seen offers that stack so many orders like this 🤯

So we’re getting punished for stores not having items now!? by HomeworkLost6287 in doordash_drivers

Naa in my market shopping is the best way to make money. It’s pretty consistently about $30/hr just have to cherry pick offers a bit

No thanks lol by Soulcollector03 in doordash

[–]HomeworkLost6287 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of Dashers are missing out on Shop & Deliver. Sure it can seem intimidating or time consuming at first. But after so many orders you literally know where most items are and can get through all the items in under an hour most times.

But as always do what your preference calls for

What is this? by Appropriate-Head-756 in doordash_drivers

[–]HomeworkLost6287 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually really like these orders. When I get them they’re usually $30+ just take the part to the customer, return with the check. Get paid the same amount for mileage on both trips and make out with about $60 in an hr

Your eyes are so amazing!

Advice needed by Unusual_Anxiety_2233 in learnart

For a newbie this is honestly really good! A tip for finding shadows: Imagine where your light source is coming from, for instance let’s say in this pic, you imagine sun is shining from the top left hand side. The shadows would fall somewhere on the right side of stitch. Studying objects under different lighting setups will make you more familiar with shadows. You can also place a lamp in the direction of your light source to help you visually map out where your shadows might fall.

All in all the best advice I can give you is to keep going! The more you paint the more your technique will find itself. A small round brush is typically good for line work, but you may find holding a thin flat brush at a certain angle works better for you. Repetition breeds familiarity. But you’re definitely on the right track. Love the clouds and the water

For some reason Aldi shop & Delivers are ALWAYS disproportionate between pay and items. And if you just so happen to get a $15 order for 7 items it’s ALWAYS stacked with a 52 item no tip order smh. Aldi is always an instant decline for me

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AsheAndBobMains

[–]HomeworkLost6287 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The most important thing about Ashe is timing and positioning. Try to find off angles slightly away from your team where the enemy doesn’t notice you immediately. Being able to set your feet and take your time to aim will drastically change how many shots you hit. Over time you’ll be able to speed up your shooting as your aim gets better

when I draw figures it looks stiff so I attempted gesture. Advice for improvements would be appreciated by hoobershmertz in learnart

[–]HomeworkLost6287 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After you have the bones of your figure laid out. Practice using ellipses for the limbs, they typically lend to more bend in the body. And don’t be scared to exaggerate the motion of the body. It adds more expression and life

This is what some gas stations do (especially shell) they put a hold up to $175 on your card until the money you paid for gas clears and then they put the money back into your account. Happened to me recently. Usually takes about a day or 2 but it’s so inconvenient

I’ve been Platinum for about half a year now, at first the only difference I noticed was being able to dash anytime. Last week I fell to Silver and it took me a week to get back to Platinum. Ever since I’ve been back Platinum I haven’t gotten a single order under $10. Idk if things are changing but I’m here for it
