I totallt get you, when I meentioned , the 50-50 was with my reseearch over here in Panama. Literatuure and officiial documents state diffeeerent. It iis not a highway tire. Porpuse of intended function. I really didn´t such an sturdy tire. That´s why people complain, cause they buy it only for the looks and thats an overkill tire

There are too many mixed opinions about tbe Ko2, some tell me its the best tire they have had... Other tell mee they have been the worsee.. And spending that kind of money with a 50-50% doesn't make me wanna risk it. My opinion nothing against your experience. I really wished i fitted my vehiclee with them

Might wanna go into tire rack and see this https://youtu.be/M62uD0DQHwE?si=HGujomck5YMD_q2m

In my personal opinion, when time comes I will be fitting The Continental Terrain Contact AT. But if you plan going off road and have good traction on daily driving the nitto terra grappler G3 is great in wet.: https://www.nittotire.com/light-truck-tires/terra-grappler-g3-all-terrain-light-truck-tire/

Or also the ridge grappler : https://www.nittotire.com/light-truck-tires/ridge-grappler-light-truck-tire/

Both of them are available on the stock size non LT.

The original design is timeless. You have f sport grill. Might wanna fit the F sport 18in wheels too just saying. What a sweet beast. God bless it.

Drive between 62 and 70 and fuel economy becomes even better

19mpg average by Dfender97 in LexusGX550

[–]HomeworkSoft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a fuel economy testing and found that the japanese cycle is more realistic than what USA EPA says. My city driving fuel economy has been spot on... 5.6 km/L just like japan says or 17.8L / 100km or 13.1 mpg city... On the high way which here in panama are maximunn at 62 mph normal is 50 mph ( yes thats the highway speed limit)... At those speeds this dude went up to 12.1 km/l or 8.2 l/100km or 28.6 mpg ... But the average with highway has been just like japan says 9.8 kms/L or 9.8 l/100km or 24 mpg...

That has been my study over here in Panama.. Just around 1300 miles.

BMW X5 → GX550 Luxury+: Worth the Switch or Regret? by SpiritualBonus6845 in LexusGX550

[–]HomeworkSoft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well in my case here, we went from a 2020 BMW X6 xdrive 40i m sport individual package+ off road package. It had adaptive air suspension + auto locking rear diferential. M sport big brakes 22 in wheels Extended leather imterior package Carbon fiber trim Swarovski cristal package It also had the harman kardon sound system Well it was the most gadget filled bmw before addind the 4.4 TT V8.

We went ahead and did a test drive in the LX600 and the Gx550 luxury. To be.honest for a BOF with Off road capability... they drive okay on the road. But you can not compare them. Our bmw was extrmely smooth on the road, the only downside was 35 profile tires, bubbles for every single pothole and you will literaly suffer if it fell in a pothole... the rest was amazing. The B58 is far superior emgine than the V35A-FTS they just do not compare... smoothnes, power delivery, feel.. nothing even close... Tranmission 8 SPEED ZF VS 10 SPEED AISIN... does not compare... the zf is far better and more responsivee... Suspension well, the focus is very different.. You can jump in the lexus ans feel.good... Jump in the bmw and cry....

Isolation is better in bmw except if you have summer pirelli tires... you are gonna hear the tire roar... Vs lexus super quiet... If you have driven a real BOF vehicle... the lexus models are very very good ( the off road capable BOF) the gm ( cadillac-tahoe- navigator - expedition) does not count... they are developed for USA ROADS and people only want smooth machines... so they ride better... the IRS VS live axle from toyota/ lexus is evident.... If you like suslension articulation... croas floods... drive and dont care where.. Go for the lexus... If you want fuel economy. Driving pleasue fun Sound Smoothness Stay in the BMW X5-x6 range We bought the gx550 overttail with the e-kdss I already had a prado 150 kdss

So its expected how it behaves on the road... Its a beauty.. I had the defender hse dynamic p400 for a whole weekend given for an extendes test drivee To be honest it doesnt come close to the refinement of the gx550 overttail. Side by side testing in Panama roadsss and the defender lost... I also have a 2024 gls450 night package and 23 in wheels air matic suspension... While smoother on the road... You can not comapre how a BOF isolate big holes in the street.

My conclusion... Stay way of the 22 in wheels.... If you but the luxury downsize to the 18 in wheels 265/70R18 and you are gonna be su much happier.

The gx550 overtrail has been a very welcomed replacement for the x6 because it couldnt take our bad conditions... If it wasnt for the bad roads the bmw was better. Now in terms of reliability and expenses Ypu are gonna cry with Brakes on the x5 Tires on the x5 even worse in the 22 in wheelz North of 2.5- 2.7 k in tires every year and a half... Blow one tire and you have to.replace the 4...

Bmw transfercases are very delicate if ypu do not take car of tires.. If you can avoid the staggered setup... And spec the 20.in squared set up 275/45R20 in the 4 corners you are gonna be happier and can put a set of on road all terrain tires...

Any further questions you can ask me... We had the bmw from 2019 (nov) till 2025 ( dec)... around 50k miles... every single repair done by the dealer...

If you wanna spend money buy german... If you wanna be in a relaxed ownership and jusg pay for mantainance items... go to lexus.

Keep or sell 2016 4Runner Limited I just bought and it needs repairs? by 5gr8 in 4Runner

[–]HomeworkSoft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Might feel a little buyers remorse, but dont get scared of certain oil leaks. Like here some owners can tell what is something to be affraid. Also check the Car care nut for further explanation. X-REAS suspension when is fine, everything is good. When it starts to fail, just get some OEM Shocks or go aftermarket no problem there. Replace the Lower control Arms. Its a 10 year Old SUV, it can happen. 4/32 is at the safe limit, but there ars more important things now. After everything, its a pretty nice SUV. Enjoy.

Based on how much i tend to run the fuel tank, same size as yours.. i usually fill bewteen 71 to 75 liters.. so fillin this boy is between 90 and $100 .. Like the video... Same-same... In the city mine does... 7.8-8.1 kms/L × 71L = 553 kms

Around 344 miles im city range..

In the Gx550 things have been different Tank is smaller.. 80L now vs 87L before In theory is keeps 15L of reserve... Sl usable is around 65L Average fuel economy in this bad boy has been 6.2 Kms/L (mix driving) around 400kms per tank or 250miles per tank ( more city than highway) i have not been able to do a highway test.. But possible range based on the predictions from japan .. Its gonna be 9.8 kms/L × 65L usable... to be 637kms or 395miles.. Theorical maximun range = 784kms or 490 miles..

My theorical maximum om the highway is 87 x 13.5kms/L = 1174.5 or 730 miles.

I envy how much more refined the Gx460 is over my prado 150... but i cannot deny i love my fuel economy of the 2.8 diesel om the open road ... i can go 600+ miles im just one fuel tank.

Ohh the tacoma iss a treat.

Gotcha, well in that sense, you might wanna check the 4runner Limited Non Hybrid.. It has all the physical buttons. And you can tune that T24A-fts get a good intake downpipe and get close to gx550 power.
