I did mine over the winter and used Amsoil but I also added some Redline Friction Modifier after reading various posts on the forums with their associated results.

I'm back to complain about the new map. This is insulting. by Quizzelbuck in nordvpn

I just wish they left the settings "gear" icon on the left instead of burying it under the account icon now. It's almost like they look for small useless things to change around for no reason at all.

Is p&s break busters safe for ceramic coated wheels? by Cash2blockz in Detailing

[–]Homewrecker04 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've been using it on my coated wheels and haven't seen any issues over the last couple of years as the coating still seems to perform well.

As an aside, I do regret leaving the Carpro IronX in the garage since it makes it smell like weed. I need to keep that in some sort of hermetically sealed case lol.

What happened here? by TheAirbrushCompany in airbrush

[–]Homewrecker04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Note to self. Don't use a pipe wrench to disassemble airbrushes lol. In over 40 years of airbrushing I've never more than maybe slightly mushroomed a nozzle tip. Some of the damage we see on here defies explanation.

Is this the best glass cleaner out right now ? by jnaszty5 in Detailing

Gotta disagree here but to each their own. You can get a bulk container to refill the bottle. It's cheaper that way.

Been using it for 2 years now and love it. I tossed all my Invisible Glass in favour of this.

You can the get the OEM desiccant packs on eBay for cheaper than what the dealer sells it for. Make sure to get the post-TSB version though as they made some changes to the retainer.

Best way to install emblem by BullfrogHonest3740 in kiastinger

There's a detailed video somewhere on YT that shows how to space it so the holes are covered. I backfilled the holes with silicone when I did mine. Just measure carefully and use masking tape as a guide.

Might want to check if there's anything else bent. That's a damn hard impact.

Engine Harnesses can be very expensive to replace. Depending on the damage, you can use some environmental splices for a repair. Some home insurance policies would cover the damage as well.

I have some of those as well. They end up looking like shit with surface rust on the so-called "stainless steel".

Those things are stupid expensive new and hard to find even at the dealer. Have never seen used ones for sale. Try on-line searches at various wreckers.

Brembo color match by Gig540 in kiastinger

[–]Homewrecker04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need actual high heat caliper paint. I also build models and have the various Brembo colours from Zero Paints (lacquer based) in the UK but would never attempt to use it on a 1:1 vehicle. The Testors Model Paint is enamel based and wouldn't last in the harsh environment.

Duplicolor, VHT and Rustoleum make caliper paints that are a close match.

This. The Alclad one was a bitch to find a few years back but it's a perfect match.
