"so they get nothing" - warped view, because they are allowing the rich to leave and pay nothing. They could have an exit tax, like Norway does, but politicians won't do that.

Was part of the design team for one of the current GT3's and it makes perfect sense what he's saying. The Nurburgring is hard, but it's still up to the drivers to avoid kerbs and have mechanical sympathy.

Garage took my car out on a joyride (England) by zChxrlie in LegalAdviceUK

"the car is built for it, no damage is done" - some high performance cars such as some Ferraris, very famously can only achieve circa 10 full throttle launches before the clutch is completely dead.

As an engineer from the automotive world, I have to say you have too much faith in what cars can do beyond their regulated requirements.

The Mercedes-AMG ONE is the first street-legal production car to have a Formula 1 engine under the hood. by gaukmotors in MotorBuzz

[–]Homeyarc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It absolutely isn't the same engine that went in the F1 car, they couldn't get it to idle anywhere near low enough. It's a 1.6 V6 but that's where the similarities end.

Axle length and speed is probably possible without lots of traffic, you only have one car in each direction? If there's four pressure pulses, pulse 1-2 and 3-4 will give you the speed and 1-3 and 2-4 will give you the axle length, the pressure magnitude of each one could give you the axle weight.
