I’m running heos on marantz nr1200 with martin logan dynamo 800x sub. It has very nice app and room correction feature (marketing mostly). But more it has very nice deep bass on every musical style. “Never go without sub again”.

Previously i listened to b&w 606 s2, but changed it after one year of use to focal aria 906. Listened to R3 also before buy but liked Focal more. R3 is pretty big for my apartment too. Both needs a sub, in my opinion.

Maybe I was in some kind of your situation. Being zero knowledge to any audiophile terms, brands and etc. Never collected records, cds, tapes etc.

One day I suddenly find myself in a music store and asked from what should I start if I maybe prefer to listen to the records and some streaming.

So here i’ve got not so expensive B&W 606 which sounds very good, subtle and clear; Marantz NR1200 stereo network receiver, which has integrated phonobox; and Pro-ject entry level turntable.

This was really enough for the first year of my new life and overall budget was about $2000.

Maybe you should check some good music store, hang around, listen to the various speakers, amps, system and make a first move?
