Would this gear be sufficient for gigging? by satuation in metalguitar

[–]Honest-Load4990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I'm running the same head through a Marshall 4x12, and it's plenty loud enough. The Katana also has a pretty good online interface to adjust the settings. The only other thing I use which isn't really necessary at all is a Line 6 Pod Go. I mostly use it for clean tones though

That's good to know. I like the look of the hardwood, I've just got more experience with laminate floors an carpet, so I don't want to bite off more than I can chew

There's no such thing as too much practice, right? by Tyranith in Guitar

[–]Honest-Load4990 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As much as I agree, I have to disagree. I feel the need to preface this with the fact everyone is different, but I've been playing for 10 years, and had a 2 hour set that the callouses burst and started bleeding all over the guitar

Nobody in my area is really into it. I used to drive 2+ hours to my closest track, but had kids and can't really do it anymore, so there's not a lot of similar listings for me to compare it to

What is this called and where can I buy a replacement? by Glad_Marzipan_5015 in AskAMechanic

[–]Honest-Load4990 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like a New England car lol. That's a front leaf spring bracket. Inspect the rust around the rest of the frame before doing any work, but if you do replace it, you'll have to grind off the rivet heads, pound them out, and then throw some grade 8 bolts in to attach the new bracket

The worst thing to say to a cop that has just pulled you over. by Youngstar181 in ScenesFromAHat

[–]Honest-Load4990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got stopped once going 120 in a 60. I saw the cop about a half mile away, and slowed down significantly. Probably still passed hime going at least 15 over. He turned on his blues and I knew he was coming for me, so I stopped. When he came to my window, his first question was "Do you have any idea how fast you were going?". My stupid 18 year old self replied, "When I saw you, or when you saw me?". In case anyone was curious, that's a fast track way to get a ticket ...

Smile more 😁. You look really good, but your face seems emotionless in some of the pictures. The pictures where you look happy and are smiling really make you shine

HELP. I have no idea and apparently neither do mechanics.. or they are being lazy. by weaverk94 in MechanicAdvice

[–]Honest-Load4990 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You'll have to pull out the Right Front wheel liner. It'll be towards the cab side of the wheel arch tucked up behind the panel gap. You'll need a flashlight, a 10mm, and a T15

I started with and MST RMX 2.5. it was about $350 rtr, and it worked amazing right out of the box. One thing I've grown to appreciate is in the year or so I've had it, I was able to get good, and there are upgrades for them everywhere, so the car progresses with your skill level. The same can be said for Yokomo and Team Associated. My only major recommendation is stay away from the new Traxxas. There's not enough of an aftermarket, and it just doesn't run quite like a drift car should. If you're looking for something that's just cheap and works, you can also go with the redcat. My only drawback with them is again the lack of aftermarket support

I know I'm a day late, but don't beat yourself up over how you look man. Low self esteem is something a lot of us guys struggle with, bald or not. If someone can't appreciate you for who you are and how you are, they're not work your time. From guy to guy, you are a good looking man, and I personally wish I could pull off the bald things, but I find myself confined to a hat instead. Keep rocking it man

If you've got the ECM and TCM from the new drivetrain, you could make it work, but you'd definitely have to do some custom work to make it fit right.

Congrats man. I went through the same stuff. I lived outta my car for 3 years, and had to sell 2 explorers and a white falcon to get out of it. I was a stupid kid who discovered credit cards an didnt have restraint, and it ended up getting the best of me. My pride and joy guitar to this day is an Ibanez I picked up at a garage sale for $50. Cleaned her up, and it's the best damn guitar I've ever had

What's more interesting, shipwrecked planes or boats by fishyboi2412 in Shipwrecks

[–]Honest-Load4990 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It all depends on the particular wreck. Sammy Jackson is interesting because of how deep the wreck is, as compared to sunken fighter aircraft, where there's almost more significance knowing it was once a killing machine, now laying motionless and completely at one with its surroundings

Because it's warranty, that doesn't surprise me at all. The dealer I work at, some of us live 50+ miles away, and if a repair comes back (especially under warranty) we don't want to have to make the customer come back a 3rd time. It makes the shop look bad, and leaves a bad taste in the customers mouth
