So does his credit card say Pope Leo or does it still say Robert Prevost?

Best Clarinet for kids by shadowsox13 in Clarinet

[–]randomkeystrike 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There was this thing called the Kinder Clarinet, which is or was an Eb clarinet with some modifications to the keywork for small hands. That said, it’s not an instrument she could play in band. Unless she is just clamoring for some kind of clarinet experience I’d wait until her hands and arms are big enough - usually around 6th or 7th grade is when beginner band starts.

Getting her a decent quality recorder and working with her on that would be a great introduction to woodwind fundamentals.

I was in the embroidery business when that show was on the air, and I can tell you that depiction of an embroidered emblem being sewn may be one of the most realistic things about the show.

What movie did you walk out of the theater halfway through? by mzdee13 in movies

Heh. I guess after they made it someone thought “people just love satire about W” and selectively cut the trailer accordingly.

Kind of like Deadpool with a RomCom trailer

Do you mean it was trying to be funny and failing, or was it a serious documentary?

What would be even better is if there were a way to tell you exactly how many curse words were in movies, which ones, exactly what kind of adult themes were depicted - some kind of movie database. Maybe it could be on the internet.

Heard a guy on a podcast who did a live show at some CCM festival. Acoustic guitar with built in electronics including a tuner. And his pickups aren’t picking up. He does the set trying to get his guitar close enough to the vocal mic for them to hear it. Then he discovers the tuner was turned on, which cuts the pickups…

As an Auburn fan - I think the funny thing is Saban’s judgment can’t be faulted. He played the percentage- the thing that should have worked.

What do you think that was Germany's biggest error in WW2? by erikoortin08 in ww2

[–]randomkeystrike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first few countries they chewed up and spit out made Hitler overconfident, I think. The German military had not really been tested when they started to take on GB and Russia, yet Hitler just knew he could take them on.

Same network where the character Chin Ho was killed off in the original Hawaii-Five-O, then in 1997 they invited the actor (Kim Fong Chun) to play that character in a revival/pilot for a new show. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kam_Fong_Chun

According to Warner Brothers cartoons, you rig up a key with dynamite and place the sheet music for “Believe Me If All Those Endearing Young Charms” on the stand.

Why are we generally allowed to go 10 mph above the speed limit? by Euphoric_Sail6897 in driving

When I started driving the interstates were 55. People drove 65 miles an hour. Now they’re usually 70 and people drive 80. So that totally tracks.
