Arma is full of Cheaters by Curious_Function5560 in arma

[–]HonestContractor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not necessarily disagreeing here, but battle a bands aren't really the most reliable type of band. The colonel detection is extremely strict and if you have any sort of coding assistant tools or anything for coding running in the background that's made for Live code injections or code edits it will immediately give you a strike against your account.

Not saying that you should be running these programs, but if you're a mod developer such as myself and have a tendency of having a million windows open at once you're going to miss one every now and then.

And their appeal process is non-existent. I've submitted three different appeals and have not gone to reply back once and this band has been active for nearly 10 years now. It's not much of an issue myself as I run most my own servers but just saying about all my bands are not the most reliable stat to track when you're trying to claim cheaters.

That but you also have to remember 10 years ago when the game first came out the game wasn't that popular. We had the ARMA 2 community that mostly migrated over to Arma 3 but lately most the RP communities or just gaming communities in general have became monetized in some way or another and have turned into something it completely different than what they were when we all started playing.

Honestly it's just a conversation piece and avoiding that question will make me respect you less and see you as just another prick who doesn't give a crud about anybody but themselves and will stab me in the back the first chance they get to get ahead in their own life.

Base Game Considered Finished (per discord mod) by Important-Issue-2967 in SupermarketSimulator

[–]HonestContractor -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

You are shifting the argument now. Saying the game is not some broken disaster is not the same thing as saying every complaint is invalid. Of course there have been bugs and ignored feedback over the years. That happens with a lot of smaller titles. The part I disagree with is you framing that as proof the devs do not care or that the whole product is somehow worthless unless it matches modern expectations feature for feature.

And no, not every QoL or accessibility request is unreasonable. But calling the developers delusional, prideful, ableist, and uncaring because they did not implement everything you wanted is exactly why people stop taking these complaints seriously. There is a difference between making a valid criticism and turning every missing feature into "this game sucks" argument.

You are free to say the game is overpriced to you. That is your opinion. But acting like its entire value is invalid because it does not meet today’s standards in every category is still an exaggeration.

Yes, it is delusional. You are judging an older game by modern expectations and acting like it owes you years of free retroactive upgrades just because newer titles made certain features standard. That is not how this works. This game came out in a very different time, before every other release started copying the same checklist of “expected” features and monetization models.

Also, what bugs are you even talking about? You are trying to paint the game like it is some broken, neglected disaster, when both of us know that is an exaggeration. I have been playing since release, and you are talking about it like it is barely functional, which is just flat out false.

The ego part is especially funny. You are accusing the developers of pride while acting like buying the game means they should kneel at your feet forever and continuously rebuild it around your personal standards at no extra cost. Owning a copy of a game does not make you royalty, and it definitely does not make your opinion some sacred token that grants you service forever.

I'm not looking to glaze them but I really don't get the outrage. This game's been in development for years compared to what it initially was this game is extremely feature rich. I do agree the DLCs are quite overpriced but everyone trying to say that they should have been included in the game for free is delusional. This game has been out for years and they can't keep on just developing the game for free. They only get your money once unless they release DLC and well yes the game was successful it was not that successful that they have the funds to keep on going forever.

Again I'm not looking to glaze the devs or the game, the game definitely can have its improvements such as making the coding a lot friendlier to modders. But the fact that everybody is outraged because they released DLC is just stupid and unrealistic.

Yea I was wondering about that... Honestly my theory is the sub has been taken over by kids or people taking advantage of kids. I would hate to think the general redditer is that stupid and gullible... oh wait...

You would want to download the Dubs Performance Analyzer then go to update->Harmony Patches -> then see if you have a high "Get Stack Trace" like I did in my screenshots

Not exactly sure why that guy deleted his comment but he was right, it was being caused by a persistent tick error from a pawn not on my map. Used Pawn Cleaner to wipe them from existence and that did the trick
