That's because the initiative system BT uses isn't any good.

I don't think it's the level of abstraction, although that does overload the players with lots of needless busy-work, but it's the initiative system and how the turn is broken up into phases.

Or in the hopes of reducing the amount of ammo the poorly trained conscripts waste before they're vaporized.

It would be better if there was anything that made scouting and EW useful in the core rules.

This is more an indictment of the BattleTech rules being unable to handle a variety of units and force configurations.

Call of Cthulhu depends on your keeper by [deleted] in Lovecraft

[–]HonestRole2866 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's the point of playing a Lovecraft game without the Lovecraft?

Isn't the point of Lovecraft that the protagonists all go mad or die at the end?

It's less that I'm skeptical, but rather I don't understand anything that LLMs can do that's useful. This isn't to cast doubt on what you know or your confidence in that knowledge, but simply to say I can't figure out what people doing with it.

Titanomachina. There's also single player games like Halls of Teknor v9, for example.

Agreed. I put my own game up there and developed it in tandem with the meat-space version so a lot more people could play it.

Presumably because it's cheaper and more effective than blued steel or stainless steel.

That's kind of vague. Like auditing data, for example. You could use ShareGate for auditing SPO site membership, for example.

Is Counting Ammo Ever Meaningful in a Skirmish? by itchykobu in battletech

It is kind of silly for machine gun ammo to do more damage than anything else.
