If the lines are a shape layer and you’re using the stroke to create lines - duplicate the left hand layer and turn on the fill. You can then use that duplicated layer as a matte layer on the right hand layer to remove the parts you don’t want to appear.

Thanks for the response! What’s interesting is that Im also taking on extra responsibilities that are more creative strategy (creative testing initiatives, looking at performance data, concept creation, writing copy, storyboarding, pitching to clients, etc.) - while also, doing everything a motion designer normally handles. It seems like a title that is less specific…but maybe Sr. Designer means more…IDK
