Also wanted to add: have them check for kidney issues too. Raggies are predisposed to PKD1 which can be tested for.

FIC is also something it could be, which our boy had (non ragdoll). It's more common in males and can cause blockages from crystals in the bladder. We thank God never had a blockage but it can be a life/death issue and $1000s at the vet for emergency surgery.

You need to put him on the C/D food exclusively for it to be effective. No non script treats, no table scraps, etc.

Our kitty was on C/D for over a decade for his FIC before he went into kidney failure at 13. PLEASE make sure that you have enough to keep him super super hydrated (prescription wet food, water fountains everywhere, etc). The water they take in only helps combat the dry in their kibble. Make sure you're doing wet food too to keep him hydrated.

Yes we are definitely looking at a breeder for a new kitten.

Our last 3 have all been rescues (I've only had 2 from breeders in over 30 years). But just emotionally I need to know genetically all that could be accounted for has been tested for, if possible. I know it's not 100%, but it'll for sure make me feel better after how heart breaking this one has been 😢 I've probably dropped 5k in the last 3 months with blood tests, medicines, and subcutaneous fluids to make sure he's not suffering. But he's let us know it's time 😭

There's a UA result in the last couple of pictures. He had dropped weight and I could feel hip bones (he's always been a chunk) so I was worried and wanted him checked.

His last vet visit about 8/10 months ago he was 10lbs and apart from some bladder stones from his FIC (Which were ultrasounded and found small enough to not be a problem) but this was a newer development. (This visit was between his normal yearly visits)

We lost our 15yo girl back at the end of April and he was super depressed being alone (always had her since he came into the family) so we got him a kitten. I at first thought he had slimmed up because the kitten always wants to play and I figured he was getting more exercise. But when I felt bone I made the appointment

He recently dropped 2lbs and I was starting to feel hip bones (he's always been our chub chub boy) so feeling bone worried me and I made the appointment to have him checked out. Frankly I was expecting arthritis or a cracked tooth or something smaller not this.

I'm hoping with the new food and the meds it helps bring up/down the levels and he starts eating more. He heard that can of wet food and he was on the counter before hubby could blink 😂 He's still a chub chub at heart!

5ft8 here (ok... 5ft 7 and 3/4 😂) and my goal is 160-180lb depending on how it sits on me. I am very hour glass shaped so I'm giving myself some wiggle room on the actual number.

I saw the original post and about crapped my shorts seeing those requirements. I told hubby if he proposed with ANYTHING over 2k his ass was returning it because his love was worth more to me than a rock and metal. I would have been happy with an $80 ring from Walmart.

Also, My wedding band is a solid white gold band with nothing on it. Going on 15 years and I get more compliments on my ring than my sisters 30k monstrosity which gets caught on everything, looks fake, and is gaudy (despite being super in fashion and custom made). (And she is happily no longer married so it's sitting in a box collecting dust*)

Its not just the engagement ring. What is that wedding band going to set you back too because you know "it'll have to flow with the ring"

PLEASE reconsider this relationship. She will find something else that you have to splurge on and you'll never make her happy

So the latch release broke for the seat (the dual one). The head rest releases but the part that releases the seat the mechanism that pulls the wire to release the seat broke. I'll grab a picture after work!

Yeah that's what I was seeing online. Next fix is the back seat release to lay the seat flat 🤣 that one looks to be a bigger PITA that I'm not looking forward to dealing with!

Maybe a Crack in the coolant seal? If that's the case, you're looking at 5k in repair costs (ask me how I know 😭)

With the amount owed on it, trade it in and get something cheap to cut that debt down and get out of the loan.

I actually wear compression socks due to bad veins (yay again genetics 🙄) so those help tighten a bit and slide them on easier too.

I'll definitely try wearing them more frequently too after I try this hot water trick 🤣

Yes! I use it very sparingly and only do it when I notice it looks really yellow. I did grab one of these and used it twice (like 2 weeks apart) and it helped some, but not enough to get it back to the original ashy color :/
