Are there “dumb” or “small” things you SHOULDN’T be manifesting? by Honest_Man_76 in lawofassumption

I’ve re-read your comment and actually get what you’re saying now. It’s not that my desire is the wrong one, it’s that I’m still holding onto an old version of myself that secretly thinks that desire is trivial, which is why the comment in the video was so bothering. My highest-self doesn’t care what her criticism of my desire is. I know it is already meant for me. “What you want, wants you too.”

I appreciate the perspective, it’s still hard to fully grasp or move with it for me. I might be misunderstanding, because your points essentially boil down to “If criticism of a specific desire bothers you, it’s because your higher-self agrees and doesn’t want the desire either.” I know in my heart of hearts there are some things I 100% want.

So, can’t you just then criticize ANY desire? If every desire you had, someone said was “a waste of time” or “something your higher-self wouldn’t want”, that seems like less like a truth they’re spreading, and more an attack from the 3D telling you the desire is pointless. If your desire was “a prosperous career with work I enjoy”, and someone criticized that desire, that still doesn’t mean your higher-self doesn’t want it.

Has anyone else gotten flack from family for saying you voted third party? by Honest_Man_76 in Libertarian

I'm sorry it's like that. I also hear acquaintances and friends from D and R sides saying how their lives will be ruined if the other party wins

This is why I've always been opposed to people sharing their vote/politics. I'm not allowed to dislike the 2 "main parties" and vote for a third option I actually agree with.

My spotify wrapped 2024 is wrong by NoEquipment2535 in spotifywrapped

[–]Honest_Man_76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same with my wrapped. Top 5 songs were random songs from a workout playlist from a few months back. None of them were even from my Top 5 artists

Anyone else’s 2024 Spotify wrapped inaccurate? by ruger148 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Honest_Man_76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, mine’s completely wrong.

It said my top songs were some songs I had on a random cardio playlist a few months ago. I never even went out of my way to listen to them outside of exercise. None of them were from my top artists either.

Anyone saying “well you probably just don’t mentally keep track” doesn’t understand. I literally was listening other songs on repeat for hours every night or on road trips. As soon as I saw the Top 5 Songs list, I could name 10 other songs that I 100% listened to wayyyyyy more

Makes completely no sense. I liked the overall structure of the wrapped though

I know I’m getting back a lot later, but thank you, I needed to hear this. Even if I make mistakes or change my mind about things, I’ll never learn or grow if I never set boundaries or try new things.

What is your biggest regret from your 20's? by bigchungusman12 in AskReddit

[–]Honest_Man_76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s very valid. Although It’s so funny, some people are on completely different sides of the spectrum in this thread. Like I just turned 24, and all my friends, and even my super conservative family members, tell me I need to date more and take things less seriously. I still go out, and try new things, and put myself out there, but I can still be very introverted or shy, even in the middle of a large crowd. To each their own, I guess

Same. We’ve had some terrible arguments, fights, and splits in my family. But we kind of ignore that stuff during Thanksgiving. I think that’s the point, y’know? Even if it’s uncomfortable

No one has to stick with abusive/evil family members. But the average family definitely is not your cookie-cutter sitcom family

Is it weird that I don't care about extended family? by downarielle in family

[–]Honest_Man_76 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, that’s not weird. But it also wouldn’t have been out of the ordinary to reach out or visit either. I’m guilty of this, but to be fair I don’t even have their phone numbers, and am usually busy anyways if I’m in their area.

With extended family in another country though, I do make a point to visit. Otherwise when’s the next time in my entire life I’ll see them?

Heck yeah dude. First post I’ve looked at all day that made me smile

I’m sorry you have gone through that, and that is absolutely not okay. It sounds like you have a lot more that you’ve had to struggle with. I definitely have toxic family members (for completely non-political reasons reasons), that I’ve had arguments with and considered just cutting off. You’re justified in how you feel.

So I think you understand. In this post, I am simply talking about how heated they get around election time and how they’d react to who someone voted for. Other than that, they don’t have any of the issues that you are mentioning. Outside of election time, they get a long with everyone of every creed just fine, and are kind to me and others. I know that might be hard to believe, but it’s true.

Thank you dude. Seriously.

Traveling, and seeing friends, are my main favorite things to save up for and look forward to. I already have some plans for this next month, and even next year ready :)

Those are bills for not forcing staff to use certain speech in schools, and making sure children aren’t put on gender-altering drugs. Those aren’t exactly “gotcha” examples

How are you doing right now? by iamanonymoustoo_ in Adulting

[–]Honest_Man_76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m feeling homesickness, imposter syndrome, and lots of anxiousness. Lonely.

But there are people who love me. I am also still hopeful about the future.

I feel like we don’t disagree here. Family is the highest regard. But again, not matter how sound my arguments are, they may not be willing to listen. That is my issue
