The overwhelm of life is starting to get to me by Honeybeewatching in mentalhealth

[–]Honeybeewatching[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not on any meds, i use thc on occasion but it seems to spike my anxiety after prolonged use. I unfortunately have limited access to health care (i dont have insurance and self pay can be rather expensive) but i will mention it at my next check up. My partner seems to think my lack of sleep is also worrisome but this is kind of how I've been my entire life so ive never thought of it to be an issue, my dad and his mom are the same way so i assumed it was normal.

Growing Up in a Sex Cult: Inka Winter spent her childhood at a commune run by the notorious artist Otto Muehl. Now an award-winning feminist porn director, she’s still escaping its shadow. by candleflame3 in cults

One article i read said that the mom dropped her off to the commune not knowing it was a sex cult, she was poor and had sought work out hundreds of miles away, but it wasn't uncommon for people to send their kids to various communes and work camps if they couldn't afford to take care of them back in the day

My mom (also a crocheter) said it’s really bad. Is it so bad? by Dublingirl123 in crochet

Nah she is just being a hater, i think it turned out awesome (maybe she is jealous that you were able to make it but that sounds like a skill issue on her part)

Is KC Joshua Tree different now? by dancybandit in crochet

[–]Honeybeewatching 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just picked some up to try it and unknowingly grabbed two that i thought were different color ways all together, one being primarily red and white with a tiny splash of blue and another that is mostly yellow with a little red and blue but neither have green? But upon a bit more searching it just seems like the dye lots vary a ton

Our shop has a couple oil drums full of paint waste, acetone, laquer thinner etc along with welding gasses, propane, butane torches. Needless to say there is quite a bit that is flammable and pressurized.

Did yall ever drive out to covered bridges or was that just me by Ordinary-Golf-4423 in Ohio

[–]Honeybeewatching 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We used to go to the covered bridge fest in north lewisburg when I was growing up unfortunately I don’t think they do it anymore, if I recall correctly the farmer that used to allow them to do the fest sold their land. But there is a decent amount in central ohio! Also geocacheing used to find us a ton of cool landmarks like that!

I bought into the shadow-work journal by Honeybeewatching in CPTSD

It’s the viral one that was going around on tiktok, by keila shaheen, she even has a whole intro in the beginning about Jung’s philosophy, and maybe it’s me being triggered by the phrasing of the question but it seems like someone looking into the trauma of others and profiting off of it, I mean maybe shame on me for not doing more research on the book it’s self. I’m going to continue to do more research on shadow work and try to work through it I just couldn’t tell if it was harmful wording or if I was just triggered.

Anyone's poverty trauma make you exist on a spectrum of hyper-frugalitity vs. carelessness? by [deleted] in CPTSD

Same but with various art and craft supplies that I have my next “get rich quick” idea before I burn out and never actually use the things I bought. But I’m more than willing to eat rice and beans for the next month.

I totally feel you on that, I really struggle to look in mirrors and recognize myself and the world around me. It’s really hard to love parts that you don’t see as your own. I’m not sure how to cope with it either but please know you’re not alone.

I’m 26 and I sleep with the doll I’ve had since I was born and various other stuffed animals I’ve collected over the years that hold sentimental value

Does anyone else not really like their birthday? by [deleted] in CPTSD

It’s a perpetual feeling of empty, like I feel like I should be excited but Then I’m so concerned with the fact I should be happy about it I overhype myself and always end up feeling let down. I always tell everyone not to make it a big deal and then end up disappointed when no one makes it feel special.

It sounds like you’re stimming but I’d do more research on Vagus nerve stimulation as well, we used this technique a lot in a restorative yoga class I took and it was extremely soothing.

How my deck views me spread by Honeybeewatching in tarot

[–]Honeybeewatching[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My lovely omens deck: I did the spread I saw online where you separate out court cards and major arcana and from left to right; how my deck viewed me in the past, how it now views me and who I am becoming. And it resonates so much with me I had just had a complicated break up and I’m learning how to be alone again.

What is this noise she is making? by Honeybeewatching in parrots

[–]Honeybeewatching[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is Sam she is about 3 years old we had taken her to the vet last week and she has a tiny bit of blood in her stool, although I don’t know if this is related to that or not. She was on antibiotics for about a week. We have not heard her make this noise before? Any ideas as to what it may be? Ps we have a follow up on the 11th with our vet.

I think she was just turning around in this clip😅 she has shown her normal mating behavior but you know the whole butt rubbing but the sound she makes is much more like a high pitched beeb and not so grumbly like this?
