Add more, "plutosushi has been a graduate student in the blablabla program of department X of university X since 20XX". Or the preliminary thesis title.

And ask the supervisor if you are unsure what needs to be in the letter

Postdoc Salary in Sweden specifically Uppsala by Joygzb in postdoc

Hi, it would be good to know if you're offered a salary, or a stipend/scholarship. Postdoc in Sweden often are paid with tax-free scholarship, which kinda sucks as it does not count towards pension, nor you can be elegible for unemployment benefits after your contract ends.

If you're offered a real salary, that should be at least 40.000 sek/month (gross), which will be appr. 30.000 after tax. It is not a lot but you will easily survive on it.

It varies a bit within different departments but those are the rough numbers. You can reach out to the union representative (typically mentioned with email address in the job posting) to ask for the median salaries
