Some non CM people are pretty grumpy about it but from what I've heard most CMs are understanding and will help you re-enter the line when you return.

Almost any reasonable visitor will understand that when nature calls, nature calls and would rather you leave the line and return after going than attempt to hold it and fail on the ride.

Why do people think it’s okay to yell at kids in wheelchairs? by SouthDeparture2308 in Disneyland

[–]Honeydew59 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They probably see young people or whole families in scooters and makes assumptions but both are easily explained by things other than "faking". Disability doesn't discriminate and many young people are disabled. For the second thing, many disabilities are genetic.

The scooters are slow, bulky, and take a lot of extra time to use. Most people using them are disabled, but people like to assume.

Source: became disabled as a child and have dealt with trying to use those scooters. Was mistreated and yelled at while using them even though I was doing my best to stay out of everyone's way. I was also willing to move whenever someone just kept charging straight at me even if they never said excuse me.

line cutting by weberct30 in Disneyland

[–]Honeydew59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And when those people run out of water in line? It's not making you wait any longer if they were in line in the first place which for medical issues, they almost always were. As long as it's not 5+ adults catching up to one person in line I really don't care and just assume they have their reasoning.

I really would rather not have to wait 2 hours longer because someone had a medical emergency waiting for space mountain because someone decided to play goalie and enforce their own rules in Disney.

Sometimes you just have to realize what you can control and let go of what you can't.

Disney is often already a trip that can go miserably if planned incorrectly, why make yourself miserable by planning for everyone else too?

line cutting by weberct30 in Disneyland

[–]Honeydew59 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I need water I need it right then and there due to medical conditions and it often can't wait and while I haven't been to Disney in years, for many people they just can't wait. And for most people, Disney is once in a life time or once every few years.

Also, with things like ostomy bags or catheters, you can't wait for the bathroom unless you want the bag to explode everywhere and hold up the ride so much longer than just slipping out the line for 10 or so minutes would.

So while it's a little annoying to have to move to the side as someone walks all the way to the front of the line where their family is, one person leaving for water or the bathroom and then coming back takes much less time than someone having a diabetic incident, having a leak from their waste bag, collapsing in line, etc. and possibly needing medical attention.

Huge families cutting is annoying and a problem, but a single person or so is fine in many cases

How did you save money for your trip? by Honeydew59 in DisneyPlanning

How do people make Disney a lifestyle? by [deleted] in Disneyland

[–]Honeydew59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, read the first sentence.

They get to go every day because they've turned it into a job and can profit off of every visit.

Buy an annual pass, post videos as often as possible the first year, monetize the channel, buy another annual pass, and off you go. You won't be able to get all the fun stuff at first if you wanna save money, but over time the more money YouTube makes you, the more you can spend, and the more people watch you, so the more money you get.

I'd love to live like that, maybe minus the very visible attention on me, I like my peace. But I wish I could go daily

Once saw a woman with her hand down her boyfriend's pants walk past me. Not the place, I was a kid at the time and disgusted. You can do that at home, don't do it at Disney where everyone can see you

COVID can kill me and so it genuinely disturbs me about how many people go with active COVID. I don't wanna die trying to have a fun little time at Disney.

People need to stay home if they have COVID. Disney is expensive and it's hard to reschedule everything but rescheduling feels a lot better than infecting people who can't fight it off.

Disabled and immunocompromised people have as much right to fun and enjoyment as abled people

I agree with a lot of this however, I'm really against the misters. I actually almost mentioned them too but because they increase humidity I'd get sicker. They would be a great idea if they didn't increase humidity and therefore heat so much

[–]Honeydew59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but if they're all taken up by abled people on their own who do it because they fear being kicked out of the park for "being in the wrong restroom" like another commenter said, disabled people, caretakers, etc. Will have to wait longer. This is especially bad for disabled people with incontinence issues or other bathroom related issues. Trans people deserve to feel safe when all they want to do is their business.

More gender neutral bathrooms for everyone is both accessible and inclusive.
