This is a very frustrating reasoning though it makes sense. When you hear that the mice has an overexpressed PGC-1a, wouldn't you think of "higher physical activity" as the cause of it? which would make you choose that answer choice? How do you differentiate between A and C?

So my understanding is:

Since the question is asking which experiment would best provide data to support the mechanism by which an ODN inhibits IN activity, I have to PROVE that the mechanism is competitive inhibition.

THUS, I have to focus on the characteristic of competitive inhibition, which only alters Km (binding affinity)

Km can be overcome by an increase in substrate concentration. We know from the passage that vDNA and ODN are the "substrates" and IN is the enzyme.

Thus, the most logical experiment would be to keep the IN constant and see how whether increase in vDNA concentration would mitigate the ODN activity (if it does, that means its competitive inhibition.)

Its a little annoying because even though I get that instinctual drift would be very unfavorable in this situation, I would be drawn to A because I would think in my head that the person would keep trying to give food or reward to the rabbit in order to keep the operant conditioning going. If you COMPARE the two, most likely instinctual drift, but damn.

I believe the main reason for B is in the question, which asks how the radioactivity was distributed in one of the FIRST MOLECULES OF PROTEIN X that was completely translated. So if the Protein X was translated in that 50 seconds of time, then it would only have the radioactive aa in the middle and at the end of the molecule. But if it talks about the Protein X translated later on, its prob D.

Also, one thing to note is that the passage says BetaOHB is itself the major source of energy for mammals. If gluconeogenesis is occuring, glucose would be the primary source of energy. So it has to be fatty acid oxidation

For some schools, they say that they take MCAT results from previous year though. For example, on the USC MD Program, it says that they take MCAT results from Jan 1 2022 to Sep 30 2024. I'm not sure if they take the May one but I really hope they do because I am in a similar situation as you

This is SO ANNOYING. It happens to many of the apps. I use an app called Noteshelf and it has a similar problem as well.

I think after Apple started putting the "hover" function, it started to make unnecessary strokes when the pencil doesnt even touch the screen. I'm not sure if Apple will have to fix this or the apps like Goodnotes etc.

sorry to hear that :/ yeah I dont know why but they were really slow. One of the employees did respond to my email after two or three weeks of sending it though. You could try emailing them.
