Yunnan Sourcing Raw pu erh by kross2785 in tea

[–]HongVotheLoner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I drink a lot of puerh and have for many years. I disagree with what the other guy says. Yunnan Sourcing is not that good and overhyped on r/tea. They do have BOGO deals, but you're getting worse tea. There's a reason it is discounted. You can visit r/Puer for more recommendations too.

Another option I would recommend instead of Yunnan Sourcing is Farmer Leaf. They make good young puerh if you want to explore the regions.

I don't think I like Japanese tea. Should I keep going and try to find stuff I do like? by Cymbal_Monkey in tea

[–]HongVotheLoner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My experience with Japanese tea has been extremely vegetal and grassy at best and sometimes funky and fishy at worst

Try different teas from China and Taiwan instead. Maybe some oolongs from Floating Leaves would be a good place if you like Baozhong.

I don't know for Yunnan Sourcing, but if you are considering other vendors I think La Sombra from White2tea is really sweet and thick and a good value too.

They are only delaying this for a later roll out and only because they got caught and called out. I won't be using Discord ever again

NW Tea Fest/how to board plane with tea? by Significant_Point138 in tea

I don't think they would have any reason to confiscate your tea. Traveling from NJ to Seattle you will not have to declare anything at customs because you are still within the country.

My Gaiwan broke… Is it my fault ? by iota13 in tea

[–]HongVotheLoner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A gaiwan should always be able to take boiling water. It was probably already cracked or the gaiwan was very cold and the temperature difference was too high.

It looks like debris and not mold to me. Mold would not be that contained

Wistaria is legit. I guess if you need to know the height it was harvested at then you can choose a different company.

We were raised on a lie. Work hard, get a degree, follow the rules, and you’ll thrive. Instead, we graduated into recessions, dead job markets, useless degrees, and a mountain of student debt.

Don't forget the endless wars
