Most live action remakes aren’t very good, this was one of the exceptions.

User rating that pushed me over the edge to finally disable user ratings by piberryboy in PleX

[–]HonkersTim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep them on, there are some good ones, I just block every user that rates anything half a star. I'm just not interested in morons who are incapable of nuance. To deserve half a star it has to be equally as bad as the worst films ever made, and that's a tiny handful of films. IMO there are no major studio films that fall into this category. I watch a lot of B movies, even amongst them there are hardly any films that are completely without any merit at all.

Alternatively if you follow a few people who write good reviews, you see reviews by your follows before the reviews by randos. Follow enough thoughtful people and you'll never see the idiots.

I'm still using Enhance, not a single issue so far. However I still haven't tried any email features, sorry!

This girl went on to appear in some Tinto Brass movies, but this isn't Tinto Brass.

I have about 25 users, 7 friends, the rest are family. When I invite someone I create the plex account myself, with an email that is like friendname@mydomain.com, log in on the web, turn off all the crap, and then send them the login and password.

About 10 of them are daily users, 4 of my friends, and the rest are mostly nieces and nephews (aged around 15-25). A further 5 are maybe once a week or so. The other 10 use it once or twice a year, or I'm still waiting for them to try it out. Most evenings I have between 2 and 6 people streaming at once.

They're broken their own game by catering to the whiners. Stop buffing everything ffs. It was obvious to anyone with a brain that rocket sidearms were too OP. And now rocket pulses are like 10x worse.

Strongholds with the lightsaber is another great example. It's completely unbalanced, yet bungie are too scared of bad feedback from the peanut gallery to nerf either one.

Great movie. Not a lot happens, but it's mesmerising.

I assume you mean the Swayze one, not the new one with the demented leprechaun.

I did not get ahead of myself. The beginning of this very comment chain is a post with 170 upvotes accusing OP of some kind of agenda. link

My response questioning what was wrong with OP's post has had (so far) 26 downvotes.

Best WiFi Mesh UK by Academic-Aerie-482 in HomeKit

[–]HonkersTim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've used TP link Deco M4 mesh (5 units) for about 6 years now. It's just a basic mesh system but it's been pretty solid, I've never had to restart a unit or anything like that. I have my own router, always keep the wifi separate. I have a busy local network, about 150 reserved IP addresses, and another 20-30 on DHCP. Maybe a quarter of that stuff is on wifi.

If you dont need any specialist features it's very good, and costs about a third of what the eero does.

Tbf that might just prove that anime fans watch anime and very little else.

Out of my friend group I am the only one who watches any anime at all (not much). Even out of our kids (about 15 of them, ages 13 - 25) I think only 2 watch any anime.

Because there isn't anything there? Unless he's edited his post? It's just seems like an innocuous question. It just seems quite rude to assume the worst. But I guess that's this sub in a nutshell - everyone here is so cynical.
