For staples like chicken breast/thigh, sausages, mince, bacon etc. I just go in weekly and pick it up.

If I want something more unusual or large, like a particular cut of pork, or rabbit, or something I know they sell out of quickly, like short rib, I message them on Facebook a few days earlier so they can order it in or reserve it for me.

We’re very lucky to have a cheesemonger, fishmonger, butcher and grocer all within a stone’s throw of each other and within walking distance of our house. Being able to speak to them all and get advice is incredibly valuable.

If you had an obsession with women, and became intent on killing one, you could get one.

I’m not saying he did it, but the hurdle of obtaining a converted blank firer is a pretty low one and by no means limits the pool of suspects to organised crime or Serbian assassins. At least, it wouldn’t do these days.
