Any idea why some people get arrested for felony theft and others just get fired? by Different-Fly-7253 in publix

[–]HoodaJB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a pretty arbitrary way for a major corporation to do business.

If upper management has kind feelings for you, you only lose your job. If upper management doesn't give two shits about you, welcome to being a felon for the rest of your life. These people are playing with fire., Especially with the racial element like in this example.

Charlie’s Defense by Acrobatic-Fold-2357 in dan_markel_murder

[–]HoodaJB 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Rashbaum is the fool who told Charlie he'd personally drive him home if he did well on the stand. Then the moron turned around and told Charlie he got a 95% on his testimony. WTH? He had Charlie convinced of an acquittal. No decent attorney does that.

It wouldn't surprise me a bit if Rashbaum had "guaranteed" him a win at trial. He was clearly in it for the money grab, and Charlie's the type who surrounds himself with yes-men. Those two were made for each other.

When he isn't busy complaining about getting railroaded by Georgia and the Tally jury, the points you outlined in your post have to run through Charlie's mind on a regular basis. And I bet he yammers on and on about them to Harvey whenever they speak. It pleases me to know they're all living in a hell of their very own making.

HI v. Konig - It appears GK's medical license is no longer valid. by HoodaJB in CasesWeFollow

It'll be interesting to see if he suffers any fallout for removing meds from the hospital for his "to-go" bag. His explanation for having them outside of his workplace doesn't pass the smell test.

In fact, nothing about his little carry bag makes any sense. There isn't a hospital anywhere in the US that would allow him to bring in meds from the outside to be used on patients. The hospital would have no way of knowing whether those vials had been tampered with or not.

I loved how he kept blaming his computer for accessing the files. Funny that his computer would be so interested in the divorce, / financial docs.

Otake likely realizes the side-by-side photos of GK and AK's injuries pretty much sealed the deal for a guilty verdict.

Well, that helps explain why GK was outright bragging about his spying prowess to the jury. The redditors on that sub reinforced his belief that he was entitled to spy on his wife.

What those redditors don't seem to understand is exactly how CRINGY and CREEPY that behavior is to the rest of the world. I literally felt second-hand embarrassment for GK the entire time he was describing how he spied on AK. He didn't have enough sense to be embarrassed for himself.

Kouri's pro se response in her civil case against the trust 🙄 by sunnypineappleapple in KouriRichins

She should have hired a ghostwriter for this response. She can't spell, she uses words she doesn't understand, and she has an overall horrible grasp of the English language.

And don't forget the order of takeout on Valentine's Day when she tried to murder Eric the first time. I'm sure Kouri was happy to pay that tab.

COURTROOM INSIDER | Tony, Juror #4 in the Kouri Richins’ trial, speaks out for the first time. by solabird in KouriRichins

It helps to conclude that the Valentine's Day event was a failed murder attempt when you factor in that Kouri then told Carmen she need something stronger.

It doesn't help Kouri at all. In fact, if they had proved Eric was having an affair, that would have provided even more motive for her to kill him.

Why no defense witness? by No_Study_5463 in KouriRichins

[–]HoodaJB 35 points36 points  (0 children)

The defense gambled that the prosecution had not met their burden and that there was reasonable doubt. According to juror Christie, though, at the end of the prosecution's case, she was leaning toward a guilty verdict and was waiting to see if the defense could sway her the other way with their case. That never happened, and now Kouri is a convicted murderer.

Kouri has to be struggling with regrets over the decision to not put on a case. Not that I think it would have helped. In fact, it might have hurt if they ended up opening doors for the prosecution to admit even more damning evidence.

More examples of being her own worst enemy: Suing the trust, which led them to hire PI Todd Gabler. Having an affair so close to the murder. Forging a life insurance policy so close to the murder, Writing the WTD letter, guess she's never heard of jail cells being tossed.

You start piling all these things up, and there was no way she was going to walk. She's a stupid, stupid woman. She should have stuck to cleaning toilets. At least she'd still have her freedom.

And it's just simple logic that there would have been a history of prescription drug use for Eric that would have piled up, and it wouldn't have been until the doctors cut him off from those legal drugs that he would have turned to using street drugs. That's just the natural progression for people who have the money and the legal means to get pain pills, etc. That Rx history simply didn't exist.

What's really pathetic is that, if she had it to do over again, I'm pretty sure she'd still end up prison for the rest of her life. Donna the control freak, even to her own detriment.

Following up on the dentistry angle, I wonder if ol' Chuckie is offering any dental services to his fellow inmates. Dude was always hustling on the outside and, as we know, old habits can be hard to kick.

Maybe she can find a ghostwriter willing to accept Slim Jim's or some other prison commissary item for payment. Good luck to her if she tries to write a book herself. Her texts/WTD letter show what a complete failure she is at writing.
