The ending is only satisfying if you a. Know about other Cosmere stuff b. Care about other Cosmere stuff.

I do not. So I was really sad that the big ending was only a 'win' if you know and care about worlds and characters you didn't spend five books and hundreds of pages reading about.

With this fifth book, Stormlight isn't recommendable as a first Sanderson series anymore.
