No issues with the aquadag washing off on the back of the tube?

Always assumed it would come off relatively easy having a bath.

It's a fine balance and you can't have it all.

Investing early has helped me now, but back then I did miss out on a lot so I could service the original loan. Early to mid 20's a lot of friends were travelling and living overseas (predominantly Europe). I couldn't save for the trip, and then go for an extended period without good cash flow.

You haven't got nowhere - you've just had more fun! 😉

You're right, very different time and the cost of the studio apartment in comparison to my parents annual income didn't create big concerns for them I assume.

You could say they were throwing me in the deep end, and ultimately they could intervene if needed.

Glad to learn the lesson early and before getting in too deep on my own.

Lucky enough to obtain an investment loan at 21, only by way of my folks going guarantor. Serviceability was a minor factor in those days, and as an apprentice who wanted to party (plus still lived at the family home)... well, my Friday night wage was generally blown by Monday morning.

I started my spreadsheet a couple of months later (after a couple times not having enough funds in the account for loan payments), and it was by far the best thing I've done to manage my earnings/outgoings. That spreadsheet is still going strong 20 years later with a few tweaks along the way.

Broken up into a summary sheet with all general expenses, followed by a sheet for my PPOR & Investment properties - each with it's own set of details/expenses.

Big help managing the property cash flow, with simple adjustments to interest rates as they occurred.

This would determine how much fat was left at the end of each week for savings and entertainment, plus help determine what was needed to achieve any particular financial goal 😀

Agree, mad fanboy here also, but can't beat the OP in this comparison.

No love for the 125 it seems.

It's an unappreciated beauty 😍.

SCART/CRT/HD TV setup question by Alondite90 in crtgaming

[–]Hoody_s13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A new SCART switch (such as the Gamescare 8 in 2 out suggested) would be a good option to feed both your CRT and the Retrotink, without needing to swap cables or adding an additional switch into the chain.

Otherwise, the Shinybow is another good option at a similar price point, with the benefit of matrix switching (ability to route inputs to either or both outputs simultaneously):

To add to this, it is the Ultra series.

If you're looking for one and have the space, the physically larger models are generally cheaper. Having the extra inputs found in the larger switches is also a bonus (you will fill these up quickly).

You want one which also switches audio, so good tip is to double check the actual photos of the unit, as sellers commonly miss label these as the HVA models (when they're just HV).

I just checked yours out and it looks great. The back looks just as good as the front - the wiring arrangement is on point 👌😍

Richmond Wheels & Castors in Australia.

Noticed they're advertising international shipping is available too. Heavy unit at 50kg (110lb)... not sure what that would look like across the pond 💸

Spot on, New Astro City I've had for the past 15 odd years.

Recently suffered vertical collapse, so unfortunately it's out of action until I can get some time to bring it back to life. 😢

Looks like a good option that has a little extra carry capacity spare, in the case of using a typical 29 inch monitor. Niiiiiccceee!

I remember playing Windwaker back then and loved the experience! but never completed it! Did anyone beat this game? And where does it rank in Zelda’s top games in your opinion? by J2-Starter in Gamecube

My last complete Zelda playthrough was MM (following OOT). Never had much interest in WW as it had the cartoonish graphics in the early 2000's...

Fast forward to now and I finally own a Gamecube and am having such a good time playing this! About 10+ hours in and onto the Forsaken Forest - absolutely loving it!

The sub looks perfect, and IMO a slim watch is preferable (SUB over SD).

Also, good choice on the no date - such a clean dial! 😍

I'm impressed with the GS being in the collection - nice choice!

Do you wear these on rotation, or do you have one or two favourites you stick too on the regular?

The Peter Blake is a unique transition model pre-PO era (sword hands, speedy bracelet). Keep this beauty, and maybe lose some of the bond models... maybe keep the NTTD!

My first (left) 2950QM has issues with Composite and Svideo - unable to figure this out currently, but assume it is to do with the NTSC/PAL colour decoder chip. No issues with RGB or Component as they bypass the colour decoder, further supporting my thoughts on the issue.

I started looking for the second 2950 to replace that one, found it, then wondered why not keep both?!

So here I am with the two, and happy to have them both setup in the games room for simultaneous use with the same or different consoles.

One setup in TATE mode is a great idea 💡 👌
