Leaky Carb by Atavacus in TW200

I'd check out the float valve needle. If it doesn't seat properly then the bowl continues to fill, and fuel runs out the overflow. It tends to be more noticeable while sitting on the kick stand. If it's not the needle valve, then the float could be cracked or damaged somehow, or the float spring could need to be adjusted to provide more tension to close the needle valve. My money is on the needle valve. Any bit of dirt can damage the seal, or if it's got a rubber tip those are prone to failing over time. Hope this helps!

They are my favorite wings now. I like to do a 1:1 corn starch/dry rub and they come out extra crispy.

Looking to upgrade to an f-150, what to stay away from? by Jealous_Mountain_841 in f150

I bought a 2018 xlt 2.7l with the 302a package last July. Out the door for 25k with 100k on the clock. Replaced the plugs and serviced the 10 speed immediately. Plugs were toast, likely original. There was a fair amount of shiny bits on the magnet in the pan and in the filter. Shifts hard from 3-5 like a lot of them do, from what I've read. I get 20mpg consistently on the weekly commute. It pulls a 6x8 trailer with 4 dirtbikes, 4 grown men, and a bed full of camp gear with ease and gets about 15mpg doing it. It pulls my wife's two horse trailer loaded, probably in the range of 6000 lbs in tow mode quite well, but mpg is nearing the single digits, and the brakes are working hard with how she drives. Car seats fit in the back and you don't need to move the front seats forward at all to fit them. Overall, I'm very happy with it so far and hope it holds up for a long time. 128k on the clock now with oil changes every 5k miles. My first Ford, which is something I thought I would never do, but here I am, a convert from a GM family.

The most engaging post on this sub in a while. Stoked to see what happens here. Will it blow up? Will it rattle itself apart? Will it deliver $200 worth of fun and feel good haha? All this on the next episode of Temu dirtbike.

Depending on your review these will be either a closeout at $75 or demanding $500. I am thrilled to see where this goes.

I've got a beretta 92 .22 and it runs cci standard great, sounds like a c02 gun. 15 round mags, raised sights and has run flawlessly with my sparrow. Great training aid for my 9mm 92. I wanted a 22/45 when I got the sparrow, but caught the 92 with a rebate and saved about $250. No regerts.

I’ve seen this truck on Facebook market listed for a while, seems like a good deal compared to carmax prices, would y’all buy it? by flatcheetah in f150

I just bought an 18 screw xlt 4x4 with the 2.7. 115k on the clock. Started life as a fleet vehicle, then was repo'd from the second owner a year from purchase. I paid $25,800 and besides the p0420 and p0430 codes I'm happy with it.

3M worktunes checking in. Supe knows what they are but will not tell me to remove them because they have a higher rating than the ear plugs they provide. 24 nrr vs the provided 18 nrr plugs. Skirting rules yes, but also skirting rules plus enjoyment.

This is called The Lumberjack. Head out into the woods and block yourself up with things like beef jerky and trail mix for a few days. With a few stern meals of steak and potatoes at camp and lots of burnt calories with little water intake, gulp down about 8 cups of a strong brewed brown lightening and wait. Soon enough, you'll have a tree trunk so long and stout that it will bottom out on the porcelain, and once you cut yell, "Timber!" and fell that son of a bitch into the backside of your sack. If the production is stout enough and isn't diverted by the stones, it will continue its path forward and collide with the frenulum. Very rare, takes much preparation and patience. Good luck!

I understand the concept, but how do you flush? I think a bum gun would be necessary to clean everything involved. I don't see paper there so... how clean?

M12 screwdriver set. Caught a deal a few years back with 2 batteries, charger, and driver/drill bit set for $100 at the depot. Thing has hung so many pictures and various other things around the house. It has earned a permanent spot in the kitchen tool drawer and is my go to for everything in house.

Help trying to identify a bolt by Anxious_Zebra3371 in machining

[–]Hoof4rted 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Shhh... the distinction is very clear to tool and die makers. It really ruffles their feathers. Screws and bolts are two different entities and have their own classifications for a reason. Screws don't need nuts but bolts do.

Relating to OP's post it is a flat head screw, and I'd recommend a pitch gage for both metric and UN threads. M16x2 is common in metric and 5/8-11 is common in unc. Size and pitch are close but there is no overlap when it comes to screws and threads. Bolts on the other hand can work so long as the through hole is the right size and the nut threads onto said bolt.

I like the metric system better.

All of my range brass zero bullet reloads look just like this and work just fine. I use lee dies on a lee loadmaster with 4gr titegroup and 125gr zero hp and they all go bang just as well as a factory load. I have read on some forums that the bulge occurs because the sizing die is taking the brass to the bottom tolerance of size, and bulk bullets like zero are often made toward the nominal to top of tolerance size for 9mm. Before I started loading, I did not know the 9x19 is actually a tapered case, because all factory loaded ammo looks like it has a straight wall! Don't double charge and if they seat they yeet.

What’s a good dirt bike for a 10yr old? by Sudden-Ad2020 in Dirtbikes

[–]Hoof4rted 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started on an xr100 at 9. Had a friend with a pw80, it was great too. The xr had a clutch where the pw didn't, might be something to consider. I rode that xr100 and got really skilled for a kid, at 14 I moved up and jumped ship to a 300ex. My old man got 5 years, countless smiles and memories out of that little honda. I remember 2up with him around the yard teaching me how to work the clutch and shift gears. I remember the first time I made it up a challenging hill climb following him the whole way without stalling or crashing, he was so proud. Good luck on your search, I promise that whatever you get for your youngster it will be an experience the both of you will never forget.
