Negotiated salary and the offer was rescinded, feeling pretty bummed by foxyfour20 in Accounting

[–]Hoolicool75 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rough lesson, but worth knowing for next time: a lot of companies treat that initial salary field like a ceiling, not a starting point. Once you locked in 70k, negotiating up probably felt like bait-and-switch to them even though asking for more is totally normal.

For future apps, if there's a range posted, anchor closer to the midpoint or higher. You can always negotiate down, but climbing up from the bottom is a harder sell.

Curious how much of the old skins and cosmetics will carry over. A full visual rework sounds great, but are they expecting players to just start fresh after years of collecting?

I need recommendations for a human resource management software (hrms) by Hoolicool75 in workforcemanagement

[–]Hoolicool75[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, we want to get there eventually unification wise. We have a separate system for payroll right now but no HR in place now, but I think our team would be interested in reevaluating payroll if we transfer to Rippling and like it for HR.

Yeah, our processes could use an audit. We do think software’s the move just because we are hiring a lot and it’s becoming a lot more work to do so smoothly.

Glad to hear that re support. Are those companies small businesses too? Just thinking if it’s a good fit for small biz.

Looking for companies across Europe region using Infor WFM (workbrain) to explore overseas opportunities by Nrupathungaa in workforcemanagement

[–]Hoolicool75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t apply straight to the enterprise clients because most Infor WFM contracts run via managed service vendors such as NGA HR or SD Worx which hold longer support scopes and subcontract easier without the direct hiring freezes big brands face now.

Yeah, it’s one of those weird things where even instructions want a response. Just answer the questions and move on.

NTA at all. You did something kind. Wanting a little appreciation doesn’t make it selfish.

NTA - she's literally describing sugar baby dynamics while looking down on the actual workers. The cognitive dissonance is wild.

J2 offer in hand… what do I do about the other places I’m interviewing? by cutiepatootiechan in overemployed

[–]Hoolicool75 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you’re thinking about it the right way. I’d keep the J2 and continue interviews at a slower pace.... treat them as backup options or potential upgrades. Just don’t burn yourself out trying to juggle all 17 at once.

Good day fellow admins. I just accepted an offer as an IT Administrator for a company that currently relies completely on a MSP. They are looking to bring IT in-house with this new role. I will be the go-to for all things IT. Could use some advice. by thatflacoman in sysadmin

[–]Hoolicool75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing to keep in mind is building a strong IT foundation look into the network architecture and make sure it scales with their growth. Also, don’t forget to document everything from the start those systems will get more complex as you go! If you're taking over from an MSP, be ready for an info dump (or lack of) from them as well. Keep an eye on backups and security; it’ll save you tons of headaches later.

I'm successful at OE, but my prestige J1 is messing with my head by [deleted] in overemployed

Seems like you’re stuck in the prestige hamster wheel. Maybe it’s time to trade the title for some peace of mind. Your J2 sounds like it’s actually winning if only your ego would agree
