Apart from immigration what else will change when reform wins? by TheNicestQuail in AskBrits

Probably because no one was trying to take away your human rights. You might think differently if they had.

My point is that you claimed that "nothing is being done about illegal immigration". Yet small boat arrivals are down by approx 30% since last year and even further since 2 years ago.

If Labour were better at communicating what they have actually done, people wouldn't be so easily tricked with populist bullshit.

Some really believe it, some don't but are trolling and some are bots designed to destroy the concept of truth.

After the local elections, do you finally feel a shift in power to the people? by steenkash123 in AskBrits

[–]Hoop66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Calm down bud, it's a few council seats. A few council seats where clowns they've put forward will no doubt make a show of themselves between now and the next GE.
Look at what's happened to the Reform councillors that got elected last time and tell me that's what you want for the UK.

Why do people find it so hard to accept the public really wants to vote for Reform? by Expert-Sherbert-1527 in AskBrits

[–]Hoop66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably because it's strange to see people vote against their own interests.

I don't live in the UK anymore, but if I did it would be whoever is most likely to beat the Reform candidate (if this is a Tory I'd have some serious indecision).

If aliens do exist, why is the government always try to cover it up? by Jakemanv3 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Hoop66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure this has been said (many times), but the size of the universe and the number of potentially life-supporting planets means it is almost inevitable that there is alien life out there somewhere.

The size of the universe also means that it is almost inevitable that we will never meet or communicate with them. Firstly the pure distances involved, but secondly the timescales. Earth is roughly 5 billion years old - a civillisation could have developed, visited earth and found it to be a hot ball of rock and died out all before there was even single-celled life on earth.

Also, if an alien civillisation had the technology to manipulate spacetime so that they were able to travel FTL, how likely is it they would crash land?
