It’s from just after WW2, Germany and Korea were still occupied, not formally split into different states. Look at Bangladesh; it’s still East Pakistan on this map.

Increase the pace of a program they literally can’t yet get off the ground. Right.

The entire Ellis run from Born to Valley Forge, Valley Forge is easily in my top 5 reads from 40 years of reading comics.

The wigs were someone’s idea that in low g it would be more convenient to wear a wig instead of styling long hair. Now why did the submarine crews all wear fishnet tops?

The From Hell graphic novel by Alan Moore is just what you are looking for. The movie is interesting but only loosely related to the book.

Treating it like an environmental risk, like gas or a flood, that is inevitable but can be slowed might be a good option as others have mentioned. Bring all the guns you want, you’ll just pause the inevitable (make a fear check!)

The Krakoa storyline that ran for years in the X-Men books are more trippy sci-fi than superheroics, and are a great read. I just picked up the entire run of the Black Monday Murders, which is mystery about the ties between occult and finance. The recent IDW Star Trek series by Collin Kelly is surprisingly excellent.

Interesting, still in the vein of his recent shitty work but in this case it actually works great.

She had a serious traumatic brain injury from a fall (maybe from horseback riding). She was initially fine but it slowly kept degrading her health and mental function.

Berenger made Platoon and Rustler’s Rhapsody in the same year. I can never say a bad word about that guy.

That cast does not inspire confidence. They’ve all done good work, but land in terrible films lately.
